Your request has been lifted before the Lord with care and prayer, and I thank you for sharing so honestly the burden you have been carrying. Two weeks without restful sleep, the constant sounds in the walls, the repeated efforts to seal openings, set traps, and remove food sources, and still being awakened through the night, would leave anyone weary and anxious. God sees the toll this has taken and He hears your cry for wisdom and for a quiet, clean home again.
Scripture makes a distinction that is so important for a time like this. First there is peace with God, which comes only through the blood of Jesus Christ. When we trust in Him and are justified by faith, the war between us and God is over, our sins are forgiven, and we are reconciled to Him. That peace does not shift with our circumstances because it rests on what Christ has done, not on how well we are doing.
Then there is the peace of God, the steady keeping of our hearts and minds that the Bible describes as passing all human understanding. Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The prophet Isaiah writes that God will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. The apostle Paul urges us not to live in constant anxiety but to bring everything to God in prayer with thanksgiving, and the peace of God will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
That promise does not mean the struggle disappears instantly, but it means that even while you are still waiting for a full solution, your heart can be steadied as you turn your thoughts toward Him. When you are awakened in the night and hear those sounds, that is a hard moment to be at peace. It can help to consciously set your mind on the Lord in that moment, remembering His care, His nearness, and His promise that His thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope. He has not forgotten you, and He invites you to call upon Him and He will listen.
God also wants to give you practical wisdom. The wisdom that comes from above is peaceable and it leads toward peace. Continue to be diligent in the good steps you have taken, and do not hesitate to seek additional help if it is available, whether that is advice from someone experienced in removing pests or assistance to find entry points you may not have seen. Ask the Lord specifically for clear direction, for eyes to see what to do next, and for provision to restore your home to a pest free and quiet place.
