For God to remove opposition of ### in fixing my marriage.

Dear brethren My dad is not supporting for my marriage. He told I have to save for marriage and I am saving money for it. Almost half the budget I saved. But now he is telling my salary is low. I am afraid to be with my parents. I feel like finishing myself. Even if I am young but marriageable age they are not allowing me. Either God should separate me from my dad or agree to fix my marriage and leave me my own way. I can't get along with them; I seriously feel like ending up everything and dying. Waiting now is impossible for me. I can't wait anymore, either from this Christian background or other religion also I am ready; I want to get married. I am also giving 10% of my salary, but still, I didn't get a salary increment. God should also help me to change my job for a better salary and good work environment.

We hear the deep pain and desperation in your heart, and we come before the Lord with you, lifting up your marriage, your family, and your future. First, we must address the weight of your words—feeling like you want to "finish yourself" or "end everything" is a cry for help that cannot be ignored. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). You are precious in God’s sight, and your life has purpose. We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness in the name of Jesus and command it to flee from you. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Your desire for marriage is not wrong—God instituted marriage as a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, and it is good (Genesis 2:18, Hebrews 13:4). However, we must also address the tension with your father. The Bible commands us to honor our parents (Exodus 20:12), but it does not mean we must submit to their every demand, especially when it contradicts God’s will for our lives. Your father’s opposition may stem from concern, but it has become a source of oppression. We pray that the Lord would soften his heart and grant him wisdom to see your readiness for marriage. If he remains resistant, we ask God to open a door for you to honorably establish your own household, as Scripture allows (Genesis 2:24).

We also must address the urgency in your words—waiting feels impossible, and the temptation to rush into marriage outside of God’s timing or even outside of the faith is real. But the Lord’s timing is perfect, and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Rushing into a marriage with someone who does not share your faith in Christ could bring even greater heartache. We pray that God would give you patience and trust in His plan, even when it feels unbearable. If you are in a courtship, ensure it is with a believer who shares your commitment to Christ and marriage (2 Corinthians 6:14). If you are not, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and wait on the Lord to bring the right spouse in His time.

Regarding your financial struggles, we lift up your job and your savings to the Lord. You are faithful in tithing, and God honors that (Malachi 3:10). We pray for a breakthrough in your career—a better salary, a healthier work environment, and favor in the eyes of those who can promote you. But we also remind you that your worth is not defined by your salary or your father’s approval. God sees your diligence and will provide for your needs (Philippians 4:19).

Lastly, we must address the absence of Jesus’ name in your request. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Christ, repenting of any sin and trusting in His sacrifice for your salvation. Without Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5). If you have already done so, we pray for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit to strengthen you in this season.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is struggling with the weight of family opposition, financial strain, and the deep longing for marriage. Lord, You see the pain and the despair, and we ask that You would wrap Your arms around them in this moment. Comfort them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and declare that You are their hope and their future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Father, we ask that You would soften the heart of their father. Grant him wisdom and understanding to see Your will for his child’s life. If his resistance is rooted in fear or control, we ask that You would break those chains and replace them with trust in You. If it is Your will for this marriage to proceed, open the doors and provide the resources needed. If it is not, give them the strength to wait and trust in Your timing.

Lord, we pray for their job situation. You know their needs, and we ask that You would provide a better salary and a healthier work environment. Give them favor with their employers and open doors for promotion or new opportunities. Help them to remember that their value is not in their income but in You (Matthew 6:33).

Father, we also pray for their future spouse. If they are not yet in a courtship, prepare their heart to wait for someone who loves You and will honor marriage as You designed it. If they are, give them wisdom and discernment to ensure this relationship is pleasing to You. Protect them from the temptation to rush or compromise, and let Your will be done in their life.

Most of all, Lord, we ask that You would draw them closer to You. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that they would do so now, confessing their sins and trusting in Your sacrifice for their salvation. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and remind them that they are never alone. Strengthen their faith and help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, sister. We understand the frustration and hurt you're feeling. Your dad's opposition must be incredibly painful, and we're sorry you're going through this. We're lifting you up in prayer, asking God to intervene and soften your dad's heart. We pray that God would grant him wisdom and understanding, and if it's His will, open the doors for your marriage.
