For all those suffering from the pain of separation and/or divorce

Father, I offer up a prayer for all those people out there who are suffering the pain of marital separation and divorce. Please guide us through these troubling times and help us through the emotional rollercoaster that is going on in our lives. Help us see and make the correct decisions with our lives. Protect our families and help them deal with the emotions they are feeling. Let us deal fairly and justly with our former spouses and learn from any mistakes we had made. Help us to feel valued again.

God, per your covenant, we know you abhor divorce and dissolutions of marriage except for extreme circumstances. Please forgive those of us who have not lived up to your covenant of marriage, help us find peace and hopefully love again. Provide your protection and love the children who may be suffering from their family breaking apart. Let them know that their parents will always love them, even though they may no longer be married. Heal their hurts and let them begin to accept their new family situation.

Lord, we thank you for Steve's prayer. We thank you for your hand upon him and his family as they come to terms with the divorce. Be with Allison and may your hand be upon her. I pray that you would give Steve wisdom and discernment. I thank you for your hand upon him, for leading and guiding him, for sustaining him during the initial separation and for imparting truth to him through your holy spirit. May thy will be done.
