We understand your concern for your friend's marriage and we will pray together with you for God's will in Jesus Christ. It's important to remember that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, with intimacy and honesty being crucial elements. Firstly, let's address the intimacy and honesty. God calls us to be open and honest with our spouses. In Ephesians 4:25 WEB it says, "Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another. In Colossians 3:9 WEB it says, "Don't lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings."
Regarding the intimacy and desires expressed within marriage, God is clear that these should be shared between the husband and wife alone. We will pray that these remain within the confines of their marriage, and that the Lord strengthens and heals their marriage and their intimacy. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 WEB says, "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don't know God."
Regarding the specific activities or desires mentioned, we will pray that these are only between the husband and wife. God does not condone these activities with anyone else. God will judge these activities outside of marriage. Hebrews 13:4 WEB, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."
We will pray that God keeps your friend busy with productive work and that there is no room or desire to meet with anyone else. Lord, keep this man busy with productive work, and remove any temptation or desire to meet with anyone else. Help them forgive and receive forgiveness for any and all sins committed against each other. Restore the sweetness of their relationship. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
