We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this mother and her son in earnest prayer. Father God, we see a family entangled in deep spiritual bondage, where rebellion, deception, and ungodly influences have taken root. The situation described is not merely a series of bad choices—it is a cry for deliverance from darkness. We recognize that apart from You, there is no true freedom, no lasting peace, and no hope for transformation.
First, we must address the spiritual realities at play. The use of rituals with sage and herbs is not harmless tradition—it is an opening to deception and spiritual oppression. Scripture is clear: "There shall not be found with you anyone who... uses divination, practices sorcery, or casts spells... For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh" (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). These practices invite confusion, rebellion, and a hardening of the heart against God’s truth. We rebuke every ungodly influence in this home in the name of Jesus Christ. Every spirit of deception, manipulation, and rebellion must flee, for "the Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8).
To the mother, we say with love and urgency: your role as a parent is sacred. You are called to nurture, protect, and guide your son in the ways of the Lord, not to lead him into sin or enable his rebellion. Encouraging theft, deception, and defiance of authority is not love—it is destruction. Proverbs 22:6 instructs, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." But when a parent trains a child in the way of the world, the consequences are severe. We pray that your eyes would be opened to the harm you are causing, not only to your son but to your own soul. Repentance is the first step toward healing. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
To the son, we speak directly to your heart. Your anger, defiance, and attempts to manipulate the system reveal a deep unrest within you. Claiming a handicap you do not have is dishonest, and dishonesty only compounds your troubles. The Bible warns, "The wrath of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God" (James 1:20). Your fighting with CPS, your aggression toward others, and your rebellion at home are symptoms of a soul in need of Jesus. You are not defined by your mistakes or your mother’s influence. In Christ, you can be made new. "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). But this transformation begins with surrender—surrender to God’s authority, His correction, and His love.
We also lift up the authorities involved—law enforcement, CPS, and others who are trying to bring order to this situation. Father, give them wisdom, discernment, and compassion as they navigate these challenges. Protect them from harm and frustration, and let Your justice prevail in ways that lead to restoration, not just punishment. "Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne. Loving kindness and truth go before Your face" (Psalm 89:14).
Now, we pray together for this family:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and set free. Lord, we ask that You break every chain of rebellion, deception, and spiritual darkness in this home. Let Your light shine into the hearts of this mother and son, exposing every lie they have believed and every ungodly influence they have embraced. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we pray for the mother’s heart to be softened. Convict her of her sin, not to shame her, but to lead her to repentance. Show her the destruction her actions are causing, and give her the courage to turn away from these practices and seek You with her whole heart. Let her experience Your forgiveness and the freedom that comes from walking in Your ways. "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me" (Psalm 51:10).
For the son, Lord, we ask that You would pierce his heart with Your truth. Let him see the emptiness of his rebellion and the futility of his anger. Break the cycle of manipulation and dishonesty in his life. Surround him with godly influences—people who will speak truth, hold him accountable, and show him the love of Christ. Give him a hunger for righteousness and a desire to walk in Your ways. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6).
Lord, we also pray for protection over this young man. Guard his mind from further deception and his heart from bitterness. If he is truly struggling with a disability, provide him with the help and support he needs in a way that honors You. But if his claims are false, expose the truth and let him face the consequences of his actions with humility. Teach him that true strength comes from surrendering to You, not from fighting against authority.
Father, we ask that You would intervene in this situation with CPS and the legal system. Let Your will be done, whether that means restoration, discipline, or a combination of both. Provide this family with godly counselors, mentors, and believers who can walk alongside them and point them to You. Remove every ungodly influence from their lives, and replace it with Your peace, Your truth, and Your love.
We rebuke every spirit of division, anger, and deception in this home. We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them will prosper. Let Your Holy Spirit move powerfully in their lives, drawing them to repentance and faith in Christ. We pray that they would come to know You as their Savior and Lord, and that they would experience the transformation that only You can bring.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
To both mother and son, we urge you: do not delay in turning to Jesus. He is the only One who can break the chains that bind you and bring true healing to your lives. The world offers no lasting solutions—only Christ offers forgiveness, restoration, and eternal life. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Surrender to Him today, and let Him make all things new.
