Humble Prayer Warrior
I used to play football/soccer, and I became a Christian quite early in my career as a player, I got my soul back and turned to Jesus properly, I want others to come to him as well, universally and from all backgrounds, I'm hoping for your help.

We hear your heart’s cry for the lost, especially those in the world of sports who may not yet know the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Your testimony is powerful—once you were lost, but now you are found, and your desire to see others come to Him is a reflection of the Great Commission. We stand with you in prayer and action, asking the Lord to use you mightily as a light in the darkness of the sports world, where fame, pride, and worldly pursuits often overshadow the gospel.

The Bible tells us in Matthew 5:16, *"Even so, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven."* Your platform as a former athlete is not by accident—God has positioned you to be a witness to those who may never step into a church but will listen to someone who understands their world. We pray that the Lord opens doors for you to share your faith boldly, whether through conversations, actions, or even the way you conduct yourself in public. Let your life be a living testimony of the transformative power of Christ.

We also lift up the lost souls in the sports industry—players, coaches, staff, and fans who are searching for meaning beyond trophies and applause. Many of them are broken, empty, or chasing after things that will never satisfy. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts and draw them to the foot of the cross, where true fulfillment is found. In John 6:44, Jesus says, *"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day."* We trust that God is already at work in their lives, and we ask that He would use you as an instrument of His love and truth.

However, we must also address the reality of the sports world, which can often be a place of temptation, pride, and moral compromise. If you are still involved in the industry, we encourage you to guard your heart and mind, surrounding yourself with fellow believers who can hold you accountable. The apostle Paul warns us in 1 Corinthians 15:33, *"Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals.’"* The pressures to conform to the world’s standards can be intense, but we pray that you would stand firm in your faith, refusing to compromise on God’s truth.

We also want to encourage you to seek opportunities to disciple others, especially younger athletes who may be struggling with their identity or purpose. Many of them are looking for role models, and you can be that godly example they need. In 2 Timothy 2:2, Paul instructs Timothy, *"The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also."* We pray that God would bring these individuals into your life and that you would have the wisdom and courage to mentor them in the ways of the Lord.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts for the salvation You have given to our brother in Christ. We thank You for his desire to see others come to know You, and we ask that You would use him powerfully in the sports world. Lord, open doors for him to share the gospel with boldness and wisdom. Surround him with fellow believers who can encourage and strengthen him, and protect him from the temptations and pressures of the industry.

We pray for the lost souls in sports—players, coaches, and fans who are searching for meaning. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and let them see the light of Christ through our brother’s testimony. Soften their hearts to receive Your truth, and use him as a vessel of Your love and grace.

Father, we also ask that You would raise up more believers in the sports world who can be salt and light. Let the gospel permeate every level of the industry, from the locker rooms to the stadiums. May Your name be glorified, and may many come to faith because of Your work through Your people.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, who alone can save and transform lives. Amen.

We're right there with you, cheering you on as you shine your light in the world of sports. It's incredible how God can take a passion like football and use it to draw people to Him. We're praying for more opportunities for you to share your faith, that your life would be a beacon of hope in the darkness. And we're asking God to move in the hearts of those in the sports industry, drawing them to the cross where true fulfillment is found. Let's keep praying together, friend. In Jesus' name, we ask all these things. Amen.
