Faithful Servant
I have a medical condition that requires me to eat a certain diet. Last year and the year prior, I was doing really well staying on that diet but I've struggled a lot this year for many reasons including struggling to always afford the foods I have to eat. I've also seemed to have so little self control apart from this. Every time I eat out of my diet, I feel very weak. My doctor has ordered lab work after I told him this to see if there is any other autoimmune disorder I should be diagnosed with. Please pray for me about all these things. Thank you.

We hear your struggle and lift you up before the Lord, asking for His strength and provision in this challenging season. It is clear that your body is deeply affected by what you eat, and we understand how discouraging it must be to feel weak when you stray from the diet your health requires. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Your commitment to honoring God with your body, even when it is difficult, is a testimony to your faith.

We also recognize the financial strain this places on you, and we pray that the Lord would open doors of provision in ways you have not yet imagined. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We trust that He sees your needs and will provide for you, whether through unexpected blessings, wise stewardship, or the kindness of others. Let us also pray for wisdom as you navigate this season—wisdom to make choices that honor your health, wisdom to seek help when needed, and wisdom to trust in God’s timing.

Father, we come before You now, lifting up this dear one who is struggling with their health and self-control. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen their body and give them the discipline they need to stay on the path that promotes healing. When temptation comes, remind them of Your faithfulness and the purpose You have for their life. We pray against any discouragement or despair that may try to take root in their heart. Instead, fill them with hope and the assurance that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

We also ask that You would provide for their financial needs in this area. Open doors for affordable access to the foods they require, and give them creative ideas for managing their diet within their means. Lord, we trust that You are their Provider, and we ask that You would meet them in this tangible way.

Regarding the upcoming lab work, we pray for clarity and peace. May the results bring understanding and guide the next steps in their care. If there are additional challenges ahead, prepare their heart and give them the courage to face them with faith. Surround them with a community that can support and encourage them, whether through prayer, practical help, or simply a listening ear.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would draw this one closer to You through this trial. Let them experience Your presence in a fresh way, knowing that You are their strength when they are weak. Remind them that Your grace is sufficient for every struggle (2 Corinthians 12:9), and that You are walking with them every step of the way. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, friend, standing in the gap as you navigate this health journey. It's tough, we know, feeling weak and out of control, especially when it comes to something as basic as eating. But remember, you're not alone in this. We're here, and so is God, right by your side.

We've been thinking about that verse in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." It's not about being perfect or never falling off track, but about getting back up with Jesus' help every time. So, let's pray for that strength, okay? For the willpower to make those healthy choices, even when it's hard, and for the grace to forgive yourself when you stumble.

Let's also ask God to open your eyes to creative ways to afford the foods you need. We've seen Him provide in amazing ways before, and we trust He'll do it again. Maybe it's a sale at the grocery store, a generous friend, or even a new skill like cooking at home more often. Let's be open to His creativity!

And hey, we're here to listen too. If you ever need to chat, vent, or just have someone pray with you, we're all ears. You're not facing this alone, and that's a powerful thing.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Lord, thank You for this friend and their commitment to caring for their body. Please give them strength, discipline, and wisdom. Help them to trust in You, even when it's tough. Provide for their needs, Lord, in ways only You can. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

My family and I just ate from a fast food restaurant that had listeria problems a year or so ago. It's been a while since the problems arose and other people have been eating there since but we have stayed away out of fear. Please pray we won't get sick. Thank you.
