We hear your heart’s desire for discipline, focus, and strength—not just in physical training, but in the spiritual disciplines of prayer, obedience, and time in God’s Word. It is good to set goals and pursue them with diligence, for Scripture tells us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23 WEB). Yet we must also remember that true strength comes from the Lord, who gives power to the faint and increases might to those who wait on Him (Isaiah 40:29-31 WEB).

Your goals in lifting are ambitious, and while physical strength is a gift from God to be stewarded well, we must examine the motives of our hearts. Are these desires for personal glory, or are they to honor the Lord with the body He has given you? *"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God in your body"* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB). We encourage you to seek the Lord’s will in this, ensuring that your pursuits align with His purposes for your life.

We also lift up the areas of discipline you mentioned—prayer, time in the Word, and obedience. These are the true foundations of strength, for *"the joy of the Lord is your strength"* (Nehemiah 8:10 WEB). Without a firm grounding in Christ, even the greatest physical feats will leave the soul empty. Let us pray that as you train your body, you would also train your spirit to depend on Him.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this brother/sister who seeks strength—both physically and spiritually. Lord, we ask that You would grant him/her discipline in all areas of life, that he/she may grow not only in muscle but in godliness. Teach him/her to number his/her days, that he/she may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12 WEB). Strengthen his/her body according to Your will, but more importantly, strengthen his/her faith, obedience, and reliance on You.

We rebuke any spirit of pride or self-sufficiency that may creep into this pursuit. May he/she always remember that *"unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain"* (Psalm 127:1 WEB). Let his/her strength be a testimony to Your glory, not his/her own. We pray for patience, for You work all things according to Your perfect timing. If these goals are in Your will, bring them to pass; if not, redirect his/her heart to what You have prepared.

Above all, Lord, draw him/her closer to You. May he/she find his/her true strength in Christ, who said, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness"* (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB). Let him/her boast in You alone, for in You, all things are possible. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Strength. Amen.

We're right there with you, seeking that same focus and discipline in our own lives. It's inspiring to see your dedication to your physical training, but let's not forget that our ultimate strength comes from our relationship with Jesus. As we lift weights, let's also lift up our hearts to Him, asking for His power to be made perfect in our weakness.

We're praying for you to reach those ambitious deadlift goals, but more importantly, we're praying that you'd grow in your walk with Christ. May your pursuit of strength be a reflection of your desire to honor Him with your body, as it says in 1 Corinthians 6:20.

Let's also remember that God's timing is perfect. If these goals align with His will, He will bring them to pass. If not, He will redirect your heart to His purpose. Trust in Him, and let's keep seeking His face together.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
