We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for this firm foundation of the Scriptures.
We have continued to lift up your request before the Father with thanksgiving for the gifts and benefits of His Word. We have joined you in praying that He would open our minds to understand the Scriptures as He did in Luke 24:45, that we as His Church may fully believe the Word that stands forever according to 1 Peter 1:25. We have agreed with you in asking that the wisdom that leads to eternal life through faith in Christ Jesus according to 2 Tim 3:15 would be at work in us, remembering that all Scripture is inspired by God according to 2 Tim 3:16 and that no prophecy of Scripture comes from the will of man but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit according to 2 Peter 1:21.
We have also prayed with you for a strengthening of trust in the God who cannot lie according to Titus 1:2 and Heb 6:18, who does not change His mind according to Num 23:19 and 1 Sam 15:29, and for the unity Jesus prayed for in John 17:1, that we may be of the same mind and same judgment according to 1 Cor 1:10 and that we would be filled with all joy and peace in believing and abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit according to Rom 15:13, through the perseverance and encouragement of the Scriptures according to Rom 15:4. We have thanked Him with you that His words are flawless according to Psalm 12:6 and that heaven and earth will pass away but His words will never pass away according to Matt 24:35, and we have asked Him to help us be diligent workers who accurately handle the Word of truth according to 2 Tim 2:15 and to be doers of the Word and not hearers only according to James 1:22, so that faith may come from hearing the Word according to Rom 10:17.
