“1. The plans of the heart belong to man, But the answer of the tongue is from the Lord. 2. All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight, But the Lord weighs the motives. 3. Commit your works to the Lord And your plans will be established.” (Pro 16:1-3, NASB)
So I surrender. I commit my path with her to you. My covenant with her to you Lord. I seek to dismantle my ego and be strong not in my own strength and wisdom but in the strength that comes from knowing you Christ. In spirit I feel like I am in the right place. I recognize my own faults in a degree but to some I am blind to. Help me to see my faults and change my ways father. Help me to recognize my blind spots.
So fireproof challenge. From this day forth I want to commit seeking your face Lord and to honor her better. To do this I commit to follow this 40-day plan based on the movie fireproof.
Day 1:
Resolve to say nothing negative about your spouse today.
Ephesians 4:2 “with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,”
So today Lord help me to notice positive qualities in her. Help me to avoid criticizing her in any way or saying negative things. Help me to commit to reading the whole Ephesians 4 and let your word speak to me today Father. Open a good positive communication between us more. Help me to set aside my ego and be a better listener. In Jesus name and blood I pray, amen.
