We join with you in bringing your sister, your finances, and our nation before the throne of grace in Jesus' name.
We lift up your sister to the Lord today and ask for His hand of protection and favor upon her work. We pray that her job would be secure and that all would go well for her, that she would work with diligence and peace as unto the Lord. We are reminded in Colossians 3:23 that whatever we do, we should work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, and we pray she would feel God's strength and presence with her today.
We also bring your financial situation before our Father, knowing that He sees every need and cares deeply for His children. We understand the weight that financial pressure can bring, but we encourage you to cast your cares on Him and trust in His provision rather than giving way to anxiety. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us not to be anxious in anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus. And we cling to the promise in Philippians 4:19 that our God will supply every need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. As you seek Him first, He is faithful to provide. Matthew 6:33 reminds us to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well. We pray for wisdom for you in stewardship, for open doors for provision, and for contentment and trust as He leads you.
We also join you in praying for peace in the United States. We pray that God would bring peace to our communities, that hearts would be turned toward Him, and that there would be repentance and healing across this land. We pray for those in authority, as we are instructed in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 to make petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. We ask the Lord to grant wisdom to our leaders, to restrain evil, to bring justice and order, and to pour out His peace which only He can give. John 14:27 reminds us of the peace Jesus gives, not as the world gives, and we ask for that true peace to reign in hearts and in our nation.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father and the assurance that He hears our prayers. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is by His name we pray and by His blood we are made right with God.
So together we pray, Father in heaven, we thank You that we can come before You in the mighty name of Jesus. We lift up this dear one's sister and ask You to keep her safe, to establish the work of her hands, and to secure her job according to Your will. Give her favor with those around her and let her be a light for You in her workplace. We lift up this one's finances and ask You to provide for every need, to grant wisdom and diligence, and to fill the heart with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Help us to trust You as our provider and to seek Your kingdom first. We also cry out for our nation, Lord, that You would bring true peace, heal our divisions, guide our leaders with wisdom and righteousness, and draw many hearts to Yourself. May Your will be done in our lives and in this land. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
