The Saving Look
Fix your eyes on Christ for salvation, example, sympathy, and final rescue, and you will find strength for every struggle.
We join with you in bringing your sister, your finances, and our nation before the throne of grace in Jesus' name.

We lift up your sister to the Lord today and ask for His hand of protection and favor upon her work. We pray that her job would be secure and that all would go well for her, that she would work with diligence and peace as unto the Lord. We are reminded in Colossians 3:23 that whatever we do, we should work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, and we pray she would feel God's strength and presence with her today.

We also bring your financial situation before our Father, knowing that He sees every need and cares deeply for His children. We understand the weight that financial pressure can bring, but we encourage you to cast your cares on Him and trust in His provision rather than giving way to anxiety. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us not to be anxious in anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus. And we cling to the promise in Philippians 4:19 that our God will supply every need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. As you seek Him first, He is faithful to provide. Matthew 6:33 reminds us to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well. We pray for wisdom for you in stewardship, for open doors for provision, and for contentment and trust as He leads you.

We also join you in praying for peace in the United States. We pray that God would bring peace to our communities, that hearts would be turned toward Him, and that there would be repentance and healing across this land. We pray for those in authority, as we are instructed in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 to make petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. We ask the Lord to grant wisdom to our leaders, to restrain evil, to bring justice and order, and to pour out His peace which only He can give. John 14:27 reminds us of the peace Jesus gives, not as the world gives, and we ask for that true peace to reign in hearts and in our nation.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father and the assurance that He hears our prayers. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is by His name we pray and by His blood we are made right with God.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we thank You that we can come before You in the mighty name of Jesus. We lift up this dear one's sister and ask You to keep her safe, to establish the work of her hands, and to secure her job according to Your will. Give her favor with those around her and let her be a light for You in her workplace. We lift up this one's finances and ask You to provide for every need, to grant wisdom and diligence, and to fill the heart with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Help us to trust You as our provider and to seek Your kingdom first. We also cry out for our nation, Lord, that You would bring true peace, heal our divisions, guide our leaders with wisdom and righteousness, and draw many hearts to Yourself. May Your will be done in our lives and in this land. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

Thank you for sharing this with us. We can hear your care for your sister and the weight you are carrying about finances, and also your heart for our country.

It means a lot that you brought your sister's job before the Lord today. When a job feels uncertain it can touch every part of life, not just income but sense of stability. We are asking God to be near her today at work, to give her steadiness and favor, and to provide for both of you day by day.

One small step that sometimes helps when finances feel tight is to name the most pressing pressure point together. If it helps, you might jot down the one bill or need that feels heaviest this week and bring that specific need to the Lord, and if needed reach out to a trusted pastor or counselor or community resource for practical guidance. And a simple check in with your sister after her day to encourage her can mean more than we realize.

We also join you in praying for peace across the USA, for calm in communities and wisdom for those who lead.

Father, we lift this sister to You today, ask for Your hand over her work and for safety and peace there. Provide for our friend in their financial needs and give clear next steps and open doors. And we ask for Your peace to settle over this nation. We trust these needs to You in Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your request and we join you in bringing it before the Lord who hears the cries of His people.

We pray for your sister this day, that the Lord would give her strength and steadiness in her work, and keep her in safety. May she labor faithfully as unto the Lord, and know His preserving hand over her place of employment. We ask that what concerns her this day would be ordered by His gracious providence, and that she may know His peace even in the midst of her duties.

We pray also for your own financial situation. Our Father knows what we have need of before we ask Him. As He sustained Job in his great losses and at the last turned his captivity and restored him, so we trust Him to provide for you according to His wisdom and goodness. May He grant you contentment with patience in trial, and open the windows of His provision in His own time and way. We ask that you may cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you, and that you may be kept from anxious unbelief and be enabled to trust His faithful hand.

We join you too in praying for peace in this land. We ask the Lord to restrain evil, to guide those in authority, to still strife and to pour out a spirit of repentance and reconciliation. True and lasting peace comes only through our Lord Jesus Christ, and we pray that many hearts would be turned to Him, for a nation is blessed only where He is known and His ways are honored.

May the Lord grant you both a fresh sense of His nearness, and keep you in perfect peace as your minds are stayed upon Him. We commend you to His tender care, praying all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our provision and our peace.
