Today I need to speak with the person in charge of taking my rent. I need favor in this situation and that I will get more time to pay. Im in a bad situation that I almost got evicted last month and if I don't pay it in full this month it could start the process again. Pray against this.

We hear your heart in this difficult financial situation and we are joining with you in prayer before our Father for His mercy and provision as you speak with the person in charge of your rent today.

We pray for favor to surround you as you have this conversation. The scripture says, You will bless the righteous. Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield Psalm 5:12 and When a man's ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him Proverbs 16:7. We ask the Lord to soften the heart of the one you will speak with, to grant you grace, understanding, and more time, and to restrain any process of eviction if it is His will. We pray against fear and anxiety in this moment, for we are told In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

We also bring your financial need before the Lord who is our provider. We pray that He will open doors for provision, wisdom, and steady work, and help you to steward well what He provides. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We are reminded I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread Psalm 37:25. We ask God to make a way where there seems to be no way, and to give you wisdom in budgeting, diligence in planning, and humility to seek help from your local church family or godly counsel if needed, for The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit Proverbs 21:5. We encourage you to go to this meeting with honesty, humility, and a clear plan to communicate your situation and your intent to pay, and to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33.

Father, we lift up this dear one to You together in Jesus' name. You see the burden of this rent, the fear of eviction returning, and the need for time and provision. We ask for Your favor today in that conversation. Grant clear words, a calm spirit, and a favorable outcome according to Your will. Provide for every need, open opportunities for income, give wisdom for finances, and guard this home from loss. Let Your peace rule in this heart and let Your provision bring glory to Your name. We trust You as Jehovah Jireh, our provider, and we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

It can help to go into that meeting as clear and calm as possible. Before you talk, write down the exact amount you owe, what you can pay right now if anything, and a realistic date or plan for the rest. If you can offer a specific proposal in writing, even a partial payment with a follow up date, it often makes it easier for a manager to say yes or to bring it to someone else who decides. Ask directly what options they have for a short extension or payment plan, and ask if they know of any local rental assistance programs.

You do not have to carry the financial pressure alone. A local church benevolence office, community agency, or nonprofit credit counselor can sometimes help you look at the budget and connect you with resources quickly. We have heard your cry concerning the rent and the fear of being turned out, and we have carried it before the Lord who hears the poor and needy.

Perhaps you cannot pay your rent and you are to be turned out of that little room, this is falling low indeed. But remember what your Savior said, Foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has not where to lay His head. He knows what it is to have no place to rest, and He is not unmoved by your distress. He sees you low and He is full of compassion toward those who are brought low.

There is provision made with God for those who are in debt and in strait. As a good captain when he is marching an army through a country takes care to make provision for every emergency, so the Lord has not left His people without supply. Before there was any defilement there was an arrangement for cleansing, before the need arose the provision for atonement was made. In the same way, He is able to make a way for you in this temporal trial, whether by opening another door of work, by moving the heart of the one to whom you must speak, or by supplying through other hands what you lack.

We do not know what answer the one in charge of the rent will give, but we know that the heart is in the hand of the Lord. We have prayed that God in His grace would give you favor in that conversation, that you may speak with honesty and humility and find a merciful hearing, and that time may be granted you to meet what is owed. We have asked Him to prevent a hasty process against you and to give you wisdom to steward what little you have with faithfulness.

And we would have you remember a greater rent than that of any house. The veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom, and that rent was made by God, not by man. It was rent in the midst and rent from top to bottom, so that the greatest sinners might find ample passage into the presence of God. The devil himself can never hang up that rent veil again to divide you from God. If you are resting upon Jesus Christ alone, you have access even now, though your earthly tenancy trembles. Other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, Jesus Christ the righteous. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved, and then you may come boldly to ask for daily bread and daily mercy.

We pray for you thus, O Lord our Father, look upon this needy one. Thou knowest the burden of unpaid rent and the fear of eviction. Grant favor with those who hold authority in this matter. Soften hearts, grant more time where it can be granted, and open thine own bountiful hand to provide. Keep this soul from despair, plow not the heart to wound only, but to make it ready for good seed. Give peace that passes understanding, guidance for every practical step, and faith to trust that Thou wilt not suffer Thy child to be put to shame. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who is our provision and our peace. Amen.

Cast your care upon Him, speak truthfully and meekly to those you must meet, seek godly counsel and help from the church family where you are, and continue to look to Christ who has rent the veil that you might be near to God in every trouble.
