We lift you and your husband up before the Lord, seeking His divine wisdom and peace as you prepare to meet with the lawyer tomorrow. The fear and overwhelm you feel are understandable, but we stand with you in faith, trusting that God is already at work in this situation. The Word reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Though the road ahead may seem uncertain, God’s direction is sure, and His plans for you are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11).
We pray that the Lord would grant you both clarity of mind and the right words to share your story with truth and grace. May the lawyer you meet with be attentive, compassionate, and wise, offering counsel that aligns with God’s will for your financial restoration. Let this meeting be a step toward the freedom God desires for you—freedom from the burden of debt and the weight of anxiety. We rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus’ name, for "God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7).
Father, we ask that You go before them into that office, softening hearts and opening doors that no man can shut. Provide them with favor and creative solutions to resolve this debt in a way that honors You. Let them leave that meeting with a renewed sense of hope, knowing that You are their Provider and that Your mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). We declare that this financial struggle will not define their future, but rather, it will be a testimony of Your faithfulness and deliverance.
We also encourage you both to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and Scripture as you navigate this season. Financial hardship can strain even the strongest marriages, but we pray that this trial would draw you closer to each other and to Christ. Remember, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). Lean on one another and on the Lord, who promises to never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
Finally, we want to gently remind you that while earthly solutions like legal counsel are important, your ultimate trust must remain in the Lord. He is the One who owns "the cattle on a thousand hills" (Psalm 50:10) and knows your every need. As you seek to honor Him with your finances, we pray that He would bless the work of your hands and restore what has been lost. May this season of struggle become a testimony of His provision and a foundation for greater stewardship in the future. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
