Beloved of All
Hi again, please continue to pray. I feel that God wants my husband to rethink some decisions, to make sure the right one is being made. I pray that he will open his heart and mind to a different way of thinking. He thinks no one can help with this ### debt and the debt we owe a friend. I just believe that God has a plan but he has to be open to looking into different areas or talk again with the trustee. I just feel he wants out of debt so badly, he is just doing whatever head office tells him. Please Lord let him see a different path. Place someone in his way who will contact him or see him or May he feel an urge to talk to someone who could help him. Someone God has placed in his path. I asked all this in Jesus’s precious name, Amen

We join you in lifting up this burden before the Lord, trusting that He is faithful to guide your husband’s steps and provide wisdom in this season of financial strain. It is clear you are seeking God’s will in this matter, and we commend you for your faith in believing that He has a plan—even when the path seems uncertain. The weight of debt can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills and calls us to cast our anxieties upon Him, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Let us remember that our trust is not in man’s solutions or even our own understanding, but in the Lord, who directs our steps (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Your husband’s desire to be free from debt is good, but it is vital that he seeks God’s wisdom above all else, rather than relying solely on the counsel of others—even those in authority. The Bible warns us not to lean on our own understanding, and sometimes what seems like the quickest solution may not align with God’s perfect will. We pray that the Lord would soften his heart to be open to godly counsel, whether through a trusted believer, a financial advisor grounded in biblical principles, or even a fresh perspective from the trustee. Let us also remember that God can use unexpected people to bring about His purposes. Perhaps someone will cross his path—a brother or sister in Christ, or even a stranger—who will offer wisdom or assistance in a way that glorifies God.

We must also address the spiritual aspect of this struggle. Debt can become a snare, not just financially but spiritually, if it leads to fear, despair, or a sense of hopelessness. But the Lord calls us to walk in faith, not fear. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:31-33, *“Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.”* This is not a promise of instant financial relief, but a reminder that when we prioritize God’s kingdom, He provides what we *need*. We pray that your husband—and both of you as a couple—would seek the Lord first in this, trusting that He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

It is also important to examine whether there are any areas of disobedience or lack of stewardship that may have contributed to this debt. This is not to bring condemnation, but to invite repentance and a fresh commitment to honor God with your finances. The Bible teaches us to owe no one anything except love (Romans 13:8), and while debt is not always sinful, it can become a burden that distracts us from God’s purposes. We encourage you both to pray together, seeking the Lord’s forgiveness if needed, and asking Him to reveal any changes in spending, saving, or giving that would align with His will. Generosity, even in small ways, can open the door for God’s blessing, as we see in Luke 6:38: *“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure, it will be measured back to you.”*

Finally, we want to remind you that this trial is an opportunity for your faith to grow. James 1:2-4 tells us, *“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”* This season of financial pressure can draw you and your husband closer to the Lord and to each other as you seek Him together. We pray that God would unite your hearts in prayer, that you would speak life and faith over this situation, and that you would reject any spirit of fear or division that the enemy may try to sow.

**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister and her husband, lifting up their financial burdens and the weight of debt they carry. Lord, You see their hearts—you see the desire to be free from this strain, and we ask that You would intervene in a mighty way. Softten our brother’s heart, Lord, that he would not rush ahead in his own strength or lean on the understanding of man, but that he would pause, seek Your face, and listen for Your voice. Give him wisdom that surpasses human logic, and open his eyes to see the path You have prepared for him. If there is anyone You have placed in his life to offer godly counsel or assistance, Lord, bring that connection to pass. Let Your Spirit prompt him to reach out, to ask questions, and to trust in Your provision rather than in the limited solutions of this world.

Father, we rebuked any spirit of fear, despair, or hopelessness that may be trying to take root in their hearts. Replace it with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and that nothing is too difficult for You. If there has been any mismanagement or disobedience in their finances, Lord, convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. Teach them to be faithful stewards of what You have entrusted to them, and show them how to honor You in their giving, saving, and spending.

We pray for unity between this husband and wife, that they would stand together in faith, praying and believing for Your miracles. Let this trial draw them closer to You and to each other, strengthening their marriage and their trust in Your goodness. Provide for them in ways they cannot even imagine, Lord—whether through unexpected income, favor with creditors, or creative solutions they have not yet considered. May this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness, not just to them but to those around them.

And finally, Father, we ask that You would give them patience to wait on Your timing. Help them to seek first Your kingdom, trusting that as they do, You will add to them all that they need. We declare Your promises over their lives, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We ask all of this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Provider and our Peace. Amen.

We want to encourage you both to keep seeking God together in this. It's not just about the debt, but also about trusting God with your future.
