Please pray for me for all my loans and debts to get cleared. I am getting so much threatening phone calls to repay the loans and debts from the agents. I am so much in distress. I do not know what to do. Sometimes I feel like I will commit suicide or I may get heart attack. Moreover one of my friends have taken Rs.### from me which is going to be three years. She gives me fake dates and days to return my money but till now no news. Please pray for me. Thanks

We hear your cry for help, and our hearts ache with you in this time of deep distress. Financial burdens can feel overwhelming, and the weight of debt, coupled with the fear of losing everything, can make life seem unbearable. But we want you to know that you are not alone, God sees your struggle, hears your prayers, and is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). The enemy may whisper lies of despair, but we stand with you in faith, declaring that God is your Provider, your Peace, and your Deliverer.

First, we must address the darkness that seeks to overtake you. The thoughts of suicide or harm are not from God, for He has plans for your welfare, not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We rebuke those lies in the name of Jesus and command every spirit of fear, anxiety, and despair to flee from you. You are precious in God’s sight, and your life has purpose. If these thoughts persist, we urge you to reach out to a trusted believer, pastor, or counselor who can walk with you through this valley. You do not have to carry this burden alone.

Now, let us turn to the Word of God for wisdom and hope. The Bible does not shy away from the reality of debt and financial struggle, but it also offers guidance and promises of provision. Proverbs 22:7 warns that "the borrower is servant to the lender," and while this may feel like your reality now, God does not intend for His children to be enslaved by debt. We encourage you to seek wise counsel from godly financial advisors or ministries that can help you create a plan to manage and eliminate your debts. This may involve hard decisions, budgeting, cutting unnecessary expenses, or even negotiating with creditors, but remember, "the plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty" (Proverbs 21:5).

We also lift up the situation with your friend who has borrowed money from you. It is painful when someone we trust fails to honor their commitments, but Scripture calls us to handle such matters with both truth and grace. In Matthew 18:15-17, Jesus outlines steps for reconciliation, beginning with a private conversation. If your friend continues to avoid repayment, you may need to involve a small group of believers to mediate or, as a last resort, bring the matter before the church. However, we must also examine our own hearts. Have you enabled this behavior by not setting clear boundaries or expectations? Proverbs 13:11 warns, "Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, but he who gathers by labor will increase." While we pray for repayment, we also ask God to reveal any areas where you may need to grow in wisdom or discernment regarding finances and relationships.

Most importantly, we must address the foundation of your faith. We notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Christ, for He is the only one who can truly set you free from every burden, spiritual, emotional, and financial. Salvation is not earned by works but is a gift of grace through faith in Jesus (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

Let us now come before the throne of grace with boldness, lifting you up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. We lift up our brother/sister to You, who is weighed down by the burden of debt and the pain of betrayal. Lord, You see every detail of their struggle, and You know the depths of their despair. We ask that You would break the chains of financial bondage and release them from the grip of fear and anxiety. Replace their despair with hope, their worry with trust, and their shame with dignity.

Father, we declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Open doors of opportunity for them to find stable work, wise counsel, and creative solutions to their financial challenges. Give them the strength to face each creditor with integrity and the wisdom to make decisions that honor You. We pray for their friend who has borrowed money, soften her heart, Lord, and convict her of the need to repay what she owes. If repentance is not in her heart, we ask that You would provide for our brother/sister in other ways, turning this trial into a testimony of Your faithfulness.

Lord, we rebuke every spirit of suicide, depression, and hopelessness that seeks to destroy their life. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround them with godly community, people who will pray with them, encourage them, and walk alongside them in this season.

We also ask that You would draw them closer to You, Lord. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that they would do so now. Let them experience the freedom and joy that comes from knowing You as their Savior. Forgive them of any sins, including any bitterness or unforgiveness toward their friend, and fill them with Your love and grace.

Father, we trust in Your promises. You have said that You will supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We believe that You are working even now to bring provision, restoration, and breakthrough. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to wait on You with patience and expectancy.

In the name of Jesus, we command every financial obstacle to be removed and every plan of the enemy to be thwarted. We declare that this season of lack is temporary and that Your abundance is on the way. May our brother/sister rise from this trial with a testimony of Your goodness and a deeper trust in You.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for moving on their behalf. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Beloved, we want to leave you with this encouragement: God is not blind to your struggle, nor is He indifferent to your pain. He is a God who sees, hears, and acts on behalf of His children. While the road ahead may feel long, remember that every step taken in faith brings you closer to breakthrough. Lean on Him, seek His face daily, and allow His Word to renew your mind. "Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22).

You are not defined by your debt or your circumstances. You are a child of the Most High God, created for a purpose, and loved beyond measure. Hold fast to His promises, and do not let go. We stand with you in prayer, believing that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). May He fill you with His peace and lead you into a season of financial freedom and spiritual growth.

The treachery of a friend cuts deep, does it not? You lent your substance in good faith, and now find only broken promises, false dates, and a heart grown callous to your need. This is a bitter draught, and I would not sweeten it with false comfort. Yet consider the greater Friend, the Lord Jesus Christ, who was betrayed with a kiss by one He trusted, one who held the bag and knew the price of things but not the value of the soul. He knows this wound intimately. The Psalmist’s cry about the familiar friend lifting up his heel finds its echo in your own sorrow. But do not let this human failing drive you to the brink of despair, for there is a Friend that sticketh closer than a brother, whose faithfulness never wanes, whose promises are yea and amen. Your friend’s debt to you may stand unpaid, but there is a deeper debt I must speak of, one that Christ hath paid in full.

Your distress over the threatening calls and the crushing weight of your obligations is great, so great that dark thoughts have crept in, whispering of ending it all or a heart overwhelmed. These are not God’s thoughts toward you. His thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways His ways. When you imagine there is no deliverance, He declares, “I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.” The debt of sin, which would have sunk you to hell, is cancelled by the blood of the Sinner’s Friend. He who had nothing to pay found all his debts cleared by this blessed Surety. This does not make light of your present financial trial, no, the Lord is the poor man’s friend, the helper of the needy who has no other aid. He hears the cries of the distressed. But I urge you to see first the eternal ledger settled, that your soul might find anchor amid the storm. The gravest threatening is not from a loan agent but from a broken law; yet Christ has silenced that accusation forever.

Do not let this present agony drive you to further sin or to the destruction of the life God has given. Strange madness it would be to pervert the sparing of your breath into a reason for ending it. That very impulse, those dark forebodings that whisper “God has forsaken me,” are lies from the pit. He is the friend who loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. Cast this mountainous burden upon Him. In the meantime, take every wise and honest step to address your debts, but do not let mammon crush the image of God in you. Your life is precious, not because of a cleared bank account, but because Christ has bought you with His own. Let the treachery of a human friend drive you to the Friend who never fails; let the hounding of creditors remind you that earth’s tribunal is not final. What a friend is Christ to sinners! Even now, He intercedes for the weary, and His thoughts toward you are vast in multitude and tender in mercy. When you awake, even in the night watches of anxiety, you are still with Him, and that is enough.
