Disciple of Prayer
Good Morning. I need some desperate help with a prayer. My family and i have been in financial lockdown since january this year. we are on the brink of losing our home, we wont be able to pay for school fees this month end. My Fiance, ###, has had her bank account frozen since january and we have been fighting to get it released. all her salaries are in there. I have had to bury myself in debt to keep my family going. im so tired. Lastly, my mode of transport, my motorcycle, the engine blew at only ###miles. there is currently an investigation but i need prayer that it goes well and with a good outcome for me. please. I have been holding onto "No weapon forged against me will prosper" I am begging for help. I have given my mind, body, soul and spirit to God and lord Jesus Christ. Please help me.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your burdens before our Heavenly Father. Financial struggles can weigh heavily on the heart, but we know that God is our provider, and He sees your need. The scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We trust that He will make a way where there seems to be no way, for His word also says in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."

First, we must address the matter of your engagement. While we rejoice in your commitment to one another, we must gently remind you that the Bible calls us to honor God in all areas of our lives, including our relationships. Hebrews 13:4 says, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." If you and your fiancée are living together or engaging in sexual intimacy before marriage, this is considered fornication in the eyes of God. We encourage you to repent of this sin and seek to honor God by either marrying or living separately until you are husband and wife. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it is important to enter into it with purity and reverence for God’s design.

Now, let us pray for your financial breakthrough and the restoration of your fiancée’s bank account. Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this family who is in desperate need of Your provision and intervention. Lord, You see their struggles, and You know their needs even before they ask. We ask that You would release the funds that are rightfully theirs and unfreeze the bank account without further delay. Provide for their school fees, their home, and every other need they have. Father, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and we stand on Your promise that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory. Open doors that no man can shut and make a way where there seems to be no way. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are their Jehovah Jireh, their Provider. We also pray for the investigation regarding the motorcycle. Lord, let justice prevail and grant a favorable outcome. Restore what has been lost and provide them with reliable transportation. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We also want to encourage you to seek wisdom in managing your finances moving forward. Proverbs 21:5 says, "The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty." Consider seeking counsel from a trusted financial advisor or a godly mentor who can help you create a budget and plan for the future. Additionally, we encourage you to tithe faithfully, even in your lack. Malachi 3:10 says, "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it." Trust God with your finances, and He will honor your obedience.

Lastly, we want to remind you that your hope is not in your circumstances but in Christ Jesus. Psalm 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Even when the road is difficult, He is with you. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good. Galatians 6:9 says, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." We believe that God is working on your behalf, and we declare breakthrough, restoration, and provision over your life and your family. Stand firm in faith, and trust that God will see you through this season. You are not alone.

We hear how exhausting this stretch since January has been for you. Trying to hold your home, your children's school fees, your fiance's frozen account and now your motorcycle all at once while going deeper into debt would wear anyone down. Thank you for reaching out and for holding fast to the Lord through it.

We are praying with you for wisdom and steadiness in the days ahead, especially with the home and school fees at the end of this month and for a fair and timely outcome with both the bank and the motorcycle investigation.

One practical step that has helped others in a prolonged financial squeeze is to get another set of eyes on the numbers. If you have not already, consider meeting soon with a reputable nonprofit credit counselor or a trusted financial counselor through your bank or local church. They can help you sort what must be paid first, talk with creditors, and make a clear plan for the debt you have taken on to keep your family going. Keep copies of every letter, call and document related to your fiance's account and the motorcycle claim, which can help those conversations go more smoothly.

You have carried a lot. Please do not carry it alone. If you have a pastor or a mature believer you trust, let them walk with you in person as well.

Father, we bring this family before You in Jesus name. You see their needs, their weariness and their love for You. Grant them wisdom for each decision, provision for their home and schooling, favor in these investigations, and rest for this tired heart. Guide them step by step and remind them You are near. Amen.

Your cry has been heard and brought before the Lord with deep care and compassion, and we join you in seeking His mercy in this heavy season of trial.

You speak of being pressed down by debt and the fear of losing your home, of school fees you cannot meet, of a frozen account that holds needed provision, and of a broken motorcycle with an uncertain outcome. These are real burdens, and it is right to bring them to the God who sees and who hears. Scripture reminds us that though clouds may surround us, our God is our light, and though storms rage around us, our God is our might. He is a very present help in trouble, and those who have trusted in Him find Him to be as real as if they could see Him.

There is a greater debt than any financial debt, the debt we owed to the justice of God for our sin, and that tremendous debt has been fully discharged by the Lord Jesus Christ who poured out His life for His people. If you have given yourself to Him, take Him at His word. It is true humility to believe what God has said, that whoever trusts in the blood of Christ is saved and accepted in the Beloved. Hold fast to that confidence, not as presumption, but as faith in a faithful God. He who paid the eternal debt will not forsake you in your temporal needs, and even when He seems distant, do not give up prayer but cry again, My God, My God, and draw near to the hand that both wounds and heals.

We also want to gently and lovingly point you to the Lord's good design for your life and home. In His Word, marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and living together and sharing the intimacies of marriage belong within that covenant. We will not ask God to bless what lies outside His design, but we will pray that He gives you grace to honor Him fully in your relationship with your fiance, to pursue purity and to move toward that holy covenant if you have not already, so that your household may be built upon His blessing and order. To walk in His ways is not to earn His favor, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, but it is the right and fitting response of those who trust Him and love Him.

We do not know what the investigation over your motorcycle or the efforts to release the account will bring, but we know the Lord is able to make provision within a stone's throw even when His people cannot see it. We will pray that He acts according to His wisdom and mercy.

Let us pray for you now. O Lord our God, we bring this dear one and his family before Your throne of grace through Jesus Christ our only Savior. You know the weight of debt, the threat to their home, the need for school fees, the frozen salaries, and the broken provision for work. Have mercy and open Your giving hands according to Your perfect will. Grant a just and favorable outcome in the investigation, and wisdom to all who decide it. Provide for daily needs, give counsel for stewardship of what remains, and connect this family to the help and fellowship of a faithful local church. Above all, establish them in faith in Christ alone, teach them Your statutes, and lead them to honor You in their home and in the covenant of marriage as You have ordained. Keep them trusting and not fearing, laboring faithfully for You while they wait for Your deliverance, and let them rejoice in hope of Your glory. In the name of Jesus we ask, Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily in His Word and in prayer, and make your needs known also to godly pastors near you who can walk with you, counsel you, and bear this burden with you. The Lord is your Leader and Heaven is your home, so faint yet pursuing, still press on to Him.
