We hear your cry and stand with you in this time of deep distress, lifting your burden before the Lord. Financial crises can weigh heavily on the heart, mind, and even the body, but we serve a God who is not only aware of your struggle but is also able to deliver you from the deepest pits. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 34:17-19, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."
First, we must address the injustice you’ve faced. The actions of unscrupulous people who have caused you to lose your livelihood are not pleasing to God. Proverbs 11:1 declares, "A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight." Those who operate in deceit and greed will one day face the consequences of their actions, for God is a righteous judge. We rebuke the spirit of oppression and deceit that has come against you, and we declare that the Lord will expose and dismantle every scheme of the enemy designed to steal, kill, and destroy in your life. You are not forgotten, and your cries have reached the ears of the Almighty.
We also want to encourage you in the efforts you are making to rectify this situation. Proverbs 21:5 tells us, "The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty." Your willingness to take action, even in the midst of despair, is a testament to your faith and resilience. However, we must remind you that your ultimate trust must be in the Lord, not in your own efforts alone. Psalm 127:1-2 warns, "Unless Yahweh builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones." While you work diligently, surrender your plans and anxieties to God, trusting that He will direct your steps.
We also lift up your physical well-being, as the stress you are carrying has affected your appetite. The Lord cares deeply about every aspect of your life, including your health. 3 John 1:2 says, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." We pray that God would restore your strength, renew your appetite, and give you peace that surpasses all understanding. Do not neglect your body, for it is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Seek rest, nourishment, and the comfort that only God can provide.
Now, we come before the Lord in prayer for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is weighed down by this financial crisis. Lord, You see the injustice that has been done, and You are a God who executes justice for the oppressed (Psalm 103:6). We ask that You would expose every scheme of the enemy and bring restoration to what has been stolen. Father, we declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and we trust that You will open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Give our brother/sister wisdom and discernment as they navigate this season, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm them. Your Word says in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand on this promise and declare that You will meet every need—financial, emotional, and physical. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Heal their body, restore their appetite, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We also pray for those who have caused this harm. Father, we ask that You would convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. If they do not know You, draw them to Yourself so that they may turn from their wicked ways and seek Your face. Let Your justice prevail, Lord, but also let Your mercy be evident in this situation.
Finally, we thank You for the name of Jesus, the only name by which we can come before You. It is through His sacrifice that we have access to Your throne of grace, and we claim the victory that is ours in Christ. We declare that this trial will not break our brother/sister but will instead be used to draw them closer to You and to display Your glory. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
In this season, we encourage you to hold fast to the promises of God. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Even when the path ahead seems uncertain, God’s plans for you are good. Continue to seek Him in prayer, meditate on His Word, and surround yourself with believers who can uplift and support you. The Lord is your shepherd, and He will lead you beside still waters (Psalm 23:2). Trust in Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
