Disciple of Prayer
My husband unexpectedly passed away a few months ago. He was the bread winner and now I'm facing financial difficulties and housing issues for me and my two small grandchildren. Please pray for me a miracle and divine provision so I can take care of my needs and the kingdom of Abba Father needs.

Our hearts are deeply grieved to hear of your loss, dear sister, and we stand with you in this season of sorrow and hardship. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He sees your tears, knows your struggles, and promises to be your Provider, even in the valley of the shadow of death. You are not alone—He is your Husband, your Protector, and your Sustainer (Isaiah 54:5).

We are reminded of the widow in 1 Kings 17, who faced starvation during a famine, yet God miraculously provided for her, her son, and even Elijah through a jar of flour and jug of oil that did not run dry. Just as He cared for her, He will care for you. Jesus Himself taught us to seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things—food, shelter, clothing—will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). Your faith in trusting Him for both your needs and the needs of His Kingdom is a testament to your devotion, and He will honor that.

Yet we must also address this: while it is right to ask for provision, we urge you to guard your heart against anxiety or fear, for the Lord commands us not to worry about tomorrow (Matthew 6:34). Trust in Him with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). If you have not already, seek wisdom from godly counselors in your church or community who can help you navigate practical steps, such as budgeting, seeking assistance, or exploring opportunities for work that align with your season of life. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there is no shame in allowing others to minister to you in this time.

We also lift up your grandchildren before the Lord, praying that He would surround them with His protection and peace. May they grow to know Him as their Father and Provider, even in this difficult season. Teach them of His faithfulness, that they may see His hand at work in your lives and trust Him early.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up our sister who is walking through the wilderness of grief and financial strain. Lord, You are the God who sees her (Genesis 16:13), and You collect every tear she has shed (Psalm 56:8). We ask that You comfort her with Your presence, wrapping her in Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and remind her that You are her Shepherd, and she shall not want (Psalm 23:1).

Father, we pray for a divine financial breakthrough—open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing she cannot contain (Malachi 3:10). Provide for her needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), whether through unexpected sources, wise stewardship, or opportunities You ordain. Give her favor with those in authority, that doors would open for stable housing and provision for her and her grandchildren. Let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness, that many would see and glorify Your name.

Lord, we also ask that You raise up godly support around her—believers who will walk alongside her, offer practical help, and speak life into her spirit. Bind any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair, and replace it with Your joy and hope (Romans 15:13). May she experience Your supernatural peace as she trusts in You.

We declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and we thank You in advance for the miracles You are preparing. Let this season be a testament to Your goodness, that even in loss, You are working all things together for her good and Your glory (Romans 8:28).

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

Finally, sister, cling to this promise: *"The Lord will not withhold any good thing from those who walk blamelessly"* (Psalm 84:11). Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and let this trial deepen your dependence on His unfailing love. We are standing with you in faith, believing God for His perfect provision. If you have not yet surrendered every area of your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the promises of His Word. If you’d like to talk more about this, we are here to walk with you.

You are loved, you are seen, and your Heavenly Father is moving on your behalf. Hold fast to hope.

We're right there with you, sister, holding your hands up to our Heavenly Father. We know the weight of your loss and the burden of your circumstances, but we also know the heart of our Father who sees you, loves you, and promises to care for you.

In the quiet moments, when the worry of tomorrow creeps in, remember David's words, "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." (Psalm 55:22) Trust that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6), and that includes providing for your needs.

Let's claim these verses together: "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19) and "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33)

We're believing with you for that financial breakthrough, for divine provision, and for peace that surpasses understanding. We're also praying for wisdom, for God to raise up godly support around you, and for your grandkids to know His love and faithfulness.

Keep looking up, sister. You're not alone. We're standing with you, and our Father is working on your behalf.
