Beloved of All
We have heard your request and we join you in bringing it before the Lord in prayer, trusting in Jesus Christ alone as Lord and Savior through whom we have access to the Father and mercy for every need.
We pray first for your financial need and for work. We ask the Lord to open a door for honest and fruitful labor for you, to give you diligence and wisdom in seeking it, and to provide for you and your household according to His mercy. May He give you favor and strength for each day, and keep you from anxiety as you look to Him as your provider.
We pray for your children, asking for divine mercy upon them, that the Lord would guard them, draw them to Himself, and cause them to grow in faith and in the knowledge of Christ. May He keep them in His care and let His grace be evident in their lives.
We pray for spiritual strength for you, that you would be rooted in the Word, steadfast in prayer, and upheld by the Holy Spirit. True strength comes from walking closely with Christ, and we ask that He would renew you day by day.
Concerning your marriage, we pray with care and with regard for what Scripture teaches. Marriage is honorable and is a bond ordained by God, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. Holiness in marriage is seen in chaste and orderly living, in faithfulness to the covenant and in preserving the holiness that comes through faith. Marriage itself is not the hindrance, but how we live within it matters greatly before God. So we do not ask God to dissolve what He has joined, but we do ask Him to bring healing, truth, and holiness into your marriage. We ask for peace where there has been strife, for wisdom to act with grace and faithfulness, for repentance where it is needed, and for reconciliation where it is possible. If there is dysfunction and hardship, we encourage you to seek godly and wise counsel from faithful pastors or mature believers who can walk with you both, and to pursue with all people the peace and holiness without which no one will see the Lord. Where there is sin or unfaithfulness, we pray that it would be forsaken, and that your home would be marked by chasteness, gravity, and order.
We also pray for the peace you asked for as God leads you forward. The peace Christ gives is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy, and it comes not from mere agreement in what is wrong but from being set right with God and walking in His ways. We ask that the Lord would give you that settled peace, that He would guide your steps, make your path clear, and give you patience and trust as He leads you from where you are to where He would have you be. May He keep your heart and mind in Christ and let His peace guard you.
So we pray together:
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, have mercy on this one who comes to You. Provide work and daily bread, have mercy on these children and keep them in Your hand, strengthen Your servant in spirit, and pour out Your favor according to Your will. Heal and restore this marriage, teach both husband and wife to live faithfully and purely within the covenant You ordained, and let Your peace reign in their home and heart. Lead step by step and give strength to follow You. We ask this trusting in Christ alone for salvation and for every good gift. Amen.
