We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up these burdens to our Heavenly Father, who sees all and knows all. First, we acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are saved. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that you would draw near to Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and place your trust fully in Him.
Father God, we lift up this situation regarding the $### earnest money deposit. Lord, Your Word tells us in Proverbs 22:22-23, "Don’t exploit the poor, because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for the Lord will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them." We pray that justice would prevail in this matter. We rebuke any spirit of greed, dishonesty, or unlawful withholding of what rightfully belongs to Your child. We ask that You would soften the heart of the seller and grant wisdom and courage to the broker to release the check without delay. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on Your promise that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
We also bring before You the matter of the severance package. Father, we know that You are a God of justice and that You care deeply about the well-being of Your children. We pray for this lawyer, that You would grant him wisdom, diligence, and a spirit of excellence as he works on this case. Your Word says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We ask that You would guide every step of this legal process and that Your will would be done. If this lawyer is not acting in good faith, we pray that You would expose his actions and provide another avenue for justice.
Lord, we lift up the cabin and the repairs that need to be made. We ask that You would send honest, skilled, and affordable contractors to complete the work. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed." We pray that every repair would be done with integrity and that the costs would be fair. We rebuke any spirit of dishonesty or exploitation that may seek to take advantage of this situation.
Father, we are deeply concerned about the spiritual attack coming from the roommate. The Bible is clear that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). We rebuke every demonic project and assignment sent against Your child in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for a hedge of protection around them, that they would have peace and safety until they are able to move out. We ask that You would bind every spirit of strife, confusion, and division in the name of Jesus.
Lord, we also want to address the heart of this matter. We encourage Your child to put on the full armor of God so that they may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). We pray that they would be rooted and grounded in Your Word, spending time in prayer and meditation on Your promises. We ask that You would fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We encourage them to seek godly counsel and fellowship with other believers who can stand with them in prayer and support.
Father, we know that You are a God who sees and hears the cries of Your children. We trust in Your timing and Your provision. We declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and we ask that You would open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it (Malachi 3:10). We pray for financial breakthrough, not just for the sake of material gain, but so that Your child may be a testimony of Your goodness and provision, and so that they may be free to serve You without distraction.
We also pray for a spirit of forgiveness and grace. Lord, help Your child to release any bitterness or resentment that may have taken root in their heart. Your Word tells us in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." We pray that they would extend the same grace that they have received from You.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would draw Your child closer to You through these trials. May they seek Your face and Your will above all else. We pray that they would find their strength and refuge in You, knowing that You are their ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). We declare that this season of testing will produce perseverance, character, and hope in their life (Romans 5:3-4).
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
