We join with you in lifting these burdens to the Lord, trusting that He hears and answers according to His perfect will. Your faith in God’s timing is a testament to your trust in Him, and we encourage you to hold fast to His promises, for He is faithful. The anxiety over the phone call and the fear of financial repercussions are real, but we must remember that our Heavenly Father knows our needs before we even ask. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:25-34, *"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ... But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."*
The fear of man—whether it be the head office or the CRA—can be paralyzing, but we are called to fear the Lord alone. Proverbs 29:25 reminds us, *"The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe."* Let us pray that God would fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). He is not unaware of your struggles, and He will provide a way. Trust that even if the call doesn’t come as you hope, God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
As for your sister’s husband, we grieve with you over the pain and suffering he is enduring. Cancer is a cruel affliction, and it can feel overwhelming to watch a loved one suffer. Yet we know that our God is the Great Physician, the One who heals and restores. Psalm 103:2-3 declares, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits— who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* We pray that the Lord would grant him strength, even in this weakness, and that the medical team would be guided by God’s wisdom. May the Lord sustain him through this trial, providing relief from pain and the ability to endure the surgery ahead. We also pray for your sister, that she would be filled with the comfort and peace of the Holy Spirit as she walks alongside her husband in this difficult season.
It is beautiful that you have ended your request by invoking the precious name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father. Your faith in calling upon His name is a reminder to us all that our hope is found in Christ alone. Let us continue to lift these requests before the throne of grace with confidence, knowing that He intercedes for us (Hebrews 7:25).

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of trust, yet also burdened by the cares of this world. Lord, we ask that You would move mightily in the situation surrounding this awaited phone call. Grant patience and peace that transcends understanding, removing all fear of man and replacing it with a holy trust in You. You are the Provider, the One who holds all things in Your hands. We pray that You would open doors no man can shut and that Your will would be done in this financial matter. Protect them from any harm or shut-down, and let Your favor rest upon them.
Lord, we also lift up this dear brother who is suffering from cancer. The pain he endures is great, and his body is weak, but You are his strength. We ask that You would grant him supernatural endurance, that he might regain enough strength for the surgery ahead. Ease his pain, Lord, and let Your healing power flow through him. Comfort his heart and the hearts of his family, especially his wife, as they walk this difficult path. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You collect every tear in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8).
Father, we thank You that You are sovereign over all things—over finances, over health, over every detail of our lives. We surrender these requests to You, trusting that You will act according to Your perfect love and wisdom. May Your name be glorified in these situations, and may faith arise in the hearts of all who are waiting on You.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
