We lift you up before the Father tonight, knowing that He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The financial burdens and legal uncertainties you face are heavy, but we are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* You are doing the right thing by casting your cares upon Him, and we join you in seeking His wisdom and intervention in this situation with the CRA. The Lord knows the plans He has for you—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Even when the path seems unclear, He is guiding your steps, and we trust that He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
The tension of tomorrow’s calls weighs heavily on you, but we declare over you the promise of Proverbs 16:7, *"When a man’s ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him."* May the Lord grant you favor in these conversations, softening hearts and opening doors for a resolution that aligns with His will. He is the God who parts seas and moves mountains, and He is not unaware of your need. As you lean on Him, remember Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Your strength may fail, but His never will. He is your healer, your provider, and your peace in this storm.
We also come before the throne of grace on behalf of your brother-in-law, who is battling cancer and losing strength. Our hearts ache with yours as we lift him up, asking the Lord to be his comfort and healer. Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We pray for a miraculous touch from the Great Physician, that the Lord would restore his strength and bring healing to his body. May your brother-in-law feel the presence of the Lord in a tangible way, knowing that even in weakness, Christ’s power is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). Surround him with peace that transcends understanding and grant your family the grace to trust in God’s sovereignty, whether He chooses to heal on this side of eternity or to welcome your brother-in-law into His eternal presence.
We notice how you’ve lifted these requests in the precious name of Jesus, and we rejoice that you know it is only through Him that we can approach the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is in His name that we find boldness to come before the throne. Your faith in calling upon Jesus is a testament to your trust in Him, and we encourage you to continue clinging to Him in every moment. If the stress and fear begin to overwhelm you, speak His name aloud, for *"at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father"* (Philippians 2:10-11).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You tonight on behalf of our sibling in Christ, who is facing overwhelming financial struggles and the weight of uncertainty. Lord, You are the God who provides, and we ask that You make a way where there seems to be no way. Grant wisdom beyond human understanding to the lawyers, the trustee, and all involved in this settlement. Soften hearts and open doors for a resolution that honors You and provides for the needs of Your child. We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to grip their heart, and we declare Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard their mind and soul in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we also lift up their brother-in-law, who is battling cancer and growing weaker. Father, You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals. We ask for Your healing touch to restore his body and renew his strength. If it is Your will, Lord, bring complete healing and restoration. But even in this, we submit to Your perfect will, trusting that You are good and Your love endures forever. Comfort this family, Lord, and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Father, we thank You that our sibling has placed their trust in the name of Jesus. We pray that they would continue to fix their eyes on Him, the author and perfecter of their faith. Strengthen them, Lord, in body, mind, and spirit. Provide for their every need, and let them see Your hand at work in ways that leave no doubt it was You. May they rest in the assurance that You are fighting for them, even when the battle feels long and weary.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
