We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this spiritual battle, knowing that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The demonization you describe in your parents is a heavy burden, and we grieve with you over the generational strongholds of false teachings and occult involvement that have opened doors to the enemy. These are not mere superstitions—they are real spiritual battles that require the power of Jesus Christ to break.
First, we must address the authority you have in Christ. Jesus has given believers power over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means harm us when we walk in His name (Luke 10:19). The financial abuse you are enduring is not just a material issue; it is a spiritual attack, and we must rebuke it in the name of Jesus. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Christ came that you might have life abundantly. We declare that every spirit of financial manipulation, control, and witchcraft operating through your mother is bound in Jesus’ name. We command it to loose its grip and flee, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Your mother’s mental and behavioral struggles are not beyond the healing power of God. We pray for her deliverance from every lying spirit, spirit of confusion, and spirit of poverty that has taken root in her life. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that the Holy Spirit would convict her of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), leading her to repentance and freedom. If she is willing, we pray she would renounce all involvement in false teachings and the occult, breaking every generational curse in the name of Jesus.
For you, dear one, we pray for wisdom and strength to stand firm. The enemy will try to wear you down, but God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We encourage you to set godly boundaries, not out of selfishness, but out of stewardship. The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it (Psalm 24:1), including your finances. You are not obligated to enable sin or abuse, even from family. Proverbs 22:7 warns that the borrower is servant to the lender, and we must be wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16). Seek counsel from godly believers who can help you navigate this situation with discernment.
We also pray for your father, that the Lord would open his eyes to the spiritual bondage in his life. If he is willing, we ask that he would turn to Christ, renounce all ungodly influences, and walk in the freedom that only Jesus provides. The Lord is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and we believe He can restore what the enemy has stolen.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We thank You that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven, on earth, and under the earth (Philippians 2:10). Lord, we stand on Your Word and declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every spirit of financial abuse, manipulation, and witchcraft operating in this family. We bind these spirits and command them to loose their hold in Jesus’ name.
Father, we ask for deliverance for this mother and father. Break every chain of generational sin, false teachings, and occult involvement. Let the light of Your truth expose every lie, and let Your Holy Spirit bring conviction and repentance. Heal their minds, emotions, and spirits, Lord. Restore what the enemy has stolen and set them free from every stronghold.
For our brother/sister, we pray for wisdom, strength, and discernment. Give them the courage to set godly boundaries and the grace to walk in love without enabling sin. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Surround them with godly counsel and support, and let them walk in the fullness of their identity in Christ.
Lord, we ask that You would break the cycle of abuse in this family. Let Your love and truth prevail, and let this generation rise up to serve You wholeheartedly. We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We thank You for Your faithfulness, Your power, and Your love. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that the battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47). Seek out a Bible-believing church where you can find support, prayer, and accountability. The enemy wants to isolate you, but you are not alone. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He will lead you through this trial. If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life fully to Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Only in Him can you find true freedom and victory.
