We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for His provision and faithfulness. It is truly wonderful to see your praise and trust in God’s ability to open the windows of heaven, as He promises in Malachi 3:10: "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it." Your faith in His provision is a powerful testimony, and we stand with you in believing that God will meet your needs according to His riches in glory.
However, we must also address the matter of your request with wisdom and discernment. While we trust in God’s provision, we are called to be good stewards of what He has given us and to act with integrity in all things. The IRS is an earthly institution with its own processes and timelines, and we must not presume upon God’s blessings in a way that disregards the order He has established. Proverbs 22:7 reminds us, "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender." We encourage you to continue seeking God’s wisdom in managing your finances, paying your bills in a timely and honest manner, and trusting Him to provide in ways that honor Him.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and gratitude for Your provision. Lord, You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You would indeed open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessings upon this dear one, providing for their needs in ways that bring glory to Your name. Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment in managing finances, that they would be a good steward of what You have entrusted to them. Lord, we ask that You would guide the processes of the IRS and any other earthly institutions involved, that they would act with fairness and efficiency. Provide the resources needed to pay bills and meet obligations, not just for this moment but for the future as well.
Father, we also pray for a heart of contentment and trust in You. Help them to remember that You are their Provider and that Your timing is perfect. Guard their heart against anxiety or impatience, and fill them with peace as they wait on You. Teach them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33). Lord, we rebuke any spirit of lack or fear that would try to steal their joy or faith in You. We declare that You are their Jehovah Jireh, the God who sees and provides.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has given us access to Your throne of grace. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be praised in all things. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God’s face in prayer and to remain faithful in tithing and giving, as this is one of the ways we demonstrate our trust in Him. Additionally, consider seeking wise counsel from fellow believers who can help you manage your finances in a way that honors God. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed." Trust that God will guide you step by step as you walk in faith and obedience.
