Faithful Servant
Please pray for me about this: my final check for my job that I quit recently just arrived yesterday. It was more than I expected because it seems the taxes were not withheld (so I will pay those taxes myself when I do my taxes next year). My family and I are saving up for something important happening this May so it's good that the taxes were more than I expected because that has boosted the savings. However, we also need some things for our house like groceries so I may have to spend some of that money. I am currently training for a new job so I can possibly earn any money I spend out of the savings back. However, I now have anxiety about work because I don't want to depend on a job not knowing whether it is truly dependable or going to last in my life or not (I feel weary because I feel that so many things in my life, to me, seem unreliable and unstable and not dependable - spiritual warfare that has been targeting me constantly may be attributing to my feeling this way and things looking this way). Please pray about all this and that my family will have wisdom in all things. Thank you.

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith and trust in His provision, lifting up this situation with earnest prayer. Heavenly Father, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we know that every good and perfect gift comes from You. We thank You for the unexpected blessing in this final paycheck, recognizing that even in the details of taxes and finances, You are at work for our good.

Father, we ask for wisdom for this family as they steward the resources You have given them. The Bible tells us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Lord, grant them discernment in how to allocate these funds—whether for their savings goal in May, their immediate needs like groceries, or other necessities. Help them to trust in Your provision and not be anxious about tomorrow, for You have promised in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

We also lift up the anxiety and weariness this dear one is feeling about work and the future. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and instability that has been targeting this family. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray for peace to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7) and for the assurance that You are their stability, their rock, and their fortress (Psalm 18:2).

Father, as they train for this new job, we ask that You open doors of opportunity and confirm this path if it is Your will. Give them confidence in Your faithfulness, remembering that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Remind them that their worth and security are found in You alone, not in the reliability of earthly things.

We also want to gently encourage this dear one to examine their heart and ensure that their trust is fully in You, Lord. It is easy to look at circumstances and feel overwhelmed, but Your Word reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Let this family lean not on their own understanding but acknowledge You in all their ways, knowing that You will direct their steps.

Lastly, we pray for unity and wisdom in this family as they navigate these decisions together. May they seek Your will in all things and find their strength in You. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, through whom we have access to the Father. Amen.

We join you in lifting up this situation to our Heavenly Father, who sees and cares about every detail of your life. We're glad to hear about the unexpected blessing in your final paycheck, and we trust that God will continue to provide for your needs, just as He has promised in Philippians 4:19, "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

We echo the prayer for wisdom in managing these funds, and we also pray for contentment. May you find joy and peace in giving thanks for what you have, as instructed in Hebrews 13:5, "Keep your life free from the love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.'"

Regarding your anxiety about work, we remind you of Matthew 6:25-26, "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" Trust that God has a plan for you, and He will guide you according to His will.

We also pray for unity and open communication within your family as you navigate these decisions together. May you seek God's will in all things, and may His peace guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
