Please pray that my family's finances will improve. I really don't like things like loans or unsecured credit because of the stress/pressure of having to pay those things back and I feel that it takes away money that I will have in the future because I have to pay it back. If possible, I prefer to pay cash or out of my own funds or just not make the purchase at all if I don't have the money. But recently, I have been presented with two opportunities to get very small loans and I took them because my family needed things. But I really don't like doing things like this and feel so worried about how it will affect my finances in the future. I will be getting some money from school in a week or so but it's a small amount but I have so many things that I will need to use it to do and also I wanted to get Christmas presents with it as well but I'm not sure how that will work out. I really want a job after I get my degree (or even now) but I don't know if God has that planned for me. I feel that getting a job would ease a lot of the problems and worries I have. I have ways that I am currently earning money but it's just a small side gig with little amounts (which I still appreciate). I know the Bible says don't worry about things like what we will eat and wear.
 
We understand your heart in this matter, and we commend you for your desire to live responsibly and free from the burdens of debt. Your concern for your family’s well-being is evident, and we want to encourage you with the truth of God’s Word while lifting this situation before Him in prayer.

The Bible indeed teaches us not to worry about our material needs, for our Heavenly Father knows what we require. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:25-34, *"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ... But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."* This doesn’t mean we should be passive, but rather, we should trust God while working diligently and wisely with what He has given us.

We also see in Scripture that debt is not God’s ideal for His people. Proverbs 22:7 says, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* Your discomfort with debt aligns with this wisdom, and we encourage you to continue seeking ways to avoid it when possible. However, we also recognize that sometimes, in moments of genuine need, small and manageable loans may be necessary. The key is to trust God to provide while also stewarding your resources faithfully.

As for your future job, we encourage you to seek God’s will above all else. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* If a job is part of His plan for you, He will open the door in His perfect timing. In the meantime, continue to work diligently in the opportunities He has already provided, no matter how small they may seem. Colossians 3:23-24 says, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."*

Regarding your upcoming school funds, we encourage you to prioritize your family’s essential needs first, trusting that God will provide for the rest. Christmas gifts are a blessing, but they should never come at the cost of neglecting necessities. Remember, God sees your heart and your efforts to honor Him in your finances. He is faithful and will provide for you as you seek Him.

Lastly, we notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we are to pray. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* If you have not already placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. It is by believing in Him—His death on the cross for your sins and His resurrection—that you are saved and can have a personal relationship with God. Romans 10:9 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."*

Now, let us pray together for you and your family:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dear brother/sister and their family to You. Lord, You know their financial struggles, their worries, and their desires to honor You in all they do. We ask that You provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory. Open doors of opportunity for them, whether through a job, wise stewardship of their current resources, or unexpected blessings. Give them wisdom as they manage the small loans they’ve taken and the funds they will soon receive. Help them to prioritize their family’s needs and to trust You for the rest.

Father, we also pray for peace in their heart. Replace their anxiety with Your perfect peace, knowing that You are their Provider. Guide their steps as they seek Your will for their future, whether in employment or other avenues. If it is Your will for them to have a job, we ask that You prepare the way and grant them favor. Help them to remain faithful in the small things, knowing that You see and reward their diligence.

We rebuke any spirit of fear or worry that may be trying to take hold of their heart. We declare that You, Lord, are their Shepherd, and they shall lack nothing (Psalm 23:1). Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and provision. May this family experience Your goodness in tangible ways, and may they continue to seek You first in all things. We ask all this in the precious and mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
 
We're right there with you, friend. We understand the weight of financial struggles and the worry that comes with it. But remember, God sees your heart and your efforts to honor Him in your finances. He's faithful and will provide for you as you seek Him.

We're not sure if you've heard this before, but there's a story in the Bible about a man named David who was once in a dire situation, much like yours. He was facing a giant named Goliath, and everyone around him was terrified. But David, with his faith in God, stepped up and said, "You come against me with sword and spear, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty" (1 Samuel 17:45). David knew that with God on his side, he didn't need to worry about the giants in his life.

So, let's take a leaf out of David's book. Let's declare together, "We come against our financial struggles in the name of the Lord Almighty. We trust in You, Lord, and we know that You will provide for us, just as You've promised in Philippians 4:19, 'And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.'"

Let's also remember to be wise with what we have. The Bible teaches us in Matthew 25:14-30 about the Parable of the Talents. We should use the resources we have, no matter how small, to glorify God and to help others.

And hey, it's okay to ask for a job or better opportunities. God hears your prayers. Let's keep trusting Him, keep working hard, and keep seeking His will. As it says in Lamentations 3:22-23, "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we come before You today, laying down our financial worries at Your feet. We trust in Your goodness and Your provision. Help us to be wise and faithful with what we have. Open doors of opportunity for us, Lord. Give us peace in our hearts, knowing that You are our Provider. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”
 
We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your financial concerns before the Lord these past few days. It has been our privilege to stand with you in prayer, asking God to provide wisdom, peace, and provision for your family’s needs. We know how heavy the weight of financial stress can feel—especially when it comes to balancing immediate needs with the desire to avoid debt and steward resources well. Your heart to rely on God’s provision rather than loans reflects a deep trust in Him, and we admire your commitment to living within your means while still caring for your family.

We’re praying that the Lord will open doors for you in unexpected ways—whether through the funds you’ll soon receive from school, a timely job opportunity (now or after your degree), or even creative solutions to stretch what you already have. Christmas can add extra pressure, but we’re asking God to help you experience His peace and joy in the midst of it, knowing He sees your heart to give and provide. May He remind you that your worth isn’t tied to what you can afford but to how deeply you’re loved by Him.

If God has already begun to answer this prayer—perhaps through a shift in your circumstances, a new opportunity, or even just a renewed sense of trust—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us.
