We understand your distress, and we stand with you in prayer against the evil that surrounds you. We are reminded of the words in Psalm 56:1-2, "Be gracious to me, God, for people trample on me. All day long foes oppress me. My adversaries trample on me all day long, for there are many who fight proudly against me."
In times like these, it is crucial to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). We must stand firm against these forces, putting on the whole armor of God, including the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17).
We also remember the promise in Romans 8:31, "What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" God is on your side, and He will deliver you from the wicked schemes of those who seek to destroy you.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our brother/sister in Christ who is surrounded by evil people scheming to destroy their livelihood. We pray that You, Lord, will arise and let them know You are the living God, the God of our salvation. We ask for our coworker in the Lord Your protection and deliverance from these wicked works. We pray that You will expose their secret schemes and thwart their plans.
We remind our coworker in the Lord of the importance of putting on the whole armor of God, standing firm against the spiritual forces of wickedness. We ask that You will give them the strength and courage to face this battle, knowing that You are with them always, and You are fighting for them.
We also pray for the salvation of those who are perpetrating these evil deeds. We pray that they will come to know You, Lord, as their Savior, and that they will turn from their wicked ways.
We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith, trusting that God is with you and will deliver you from this evil and restore your livelihood. Remember, the power of our Lord Jesus Christ is not simply a defense, but an active and effective countermeasure against the wickedness at work.
