We understand that you are feeling anxious about your final exam and the potential disappointment from your mom. First, we want to remind you that your value and identity are not determined by your academic performance but by who you are in Christ Jesus.
Let's turn to the scriptures for encouragement and guidance. In Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, it says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
In preparing for your exam, God wants you to do your best and trust Him with the results. Remember the story of Peter walking on water in Matthew 14:28-31 WEB. When Peter focused on the storm around him, he began to sink, but when he looked to Jesus, he was able to do the impossible. Similarly, if you focus on your fears and anxieties, you may become overwhelmed, but if you keep your eyes on Jesus, He will guide you through your exam.
It’s important to note that you didn’t mention Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to God. In John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this student who is feeling scared and anxious about their final exam. Lord, we ask that You grant them a peaceful mind and the ability to remember what they have studied and learned in class. Guide their thoughts and help them to choose their answers accurately.
Father, we also pray for their mom, that You would soften her heart and help her to understand that this exam does not define her child's worth or potential. Help them to communicate openly and honestly with each other, and may this situation draw them closer to You and to each other.
Lord, we ask that You would help this student to do well on their exam, not just for the grade, but for the knowledge and growth that comes from learning. Help them to see that their identity is not in their academic performance, but in who they are in Christ Jesus.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
