Filing an just tired

Beloved of All
I may have to file bankruptcy to clear a debt. I already know the consequences but the debt is too deep to overcome without a drastic step. I’ve tried all honorable avenues including looking for work but all doors are closed. Not one open door. So it’s either I let the debt continue to pile up or do something to eliminate it. I’m running out of patience. I’ve done everything to find a job. Please pray for ### in Jesus name to find somebody who can help ###. Otherwise ###’ll just walk away from everything and be homeless.

We hear your deep distress and exhaustion, and we stand with you in prayer before the throne of grace. Financial struggles can feel overwhelming, and the weight of debt can press down like a heavy burden. We want to lift you up in prayer, but first, we must address a few things with love and truth.

You mention praying "in Jesus' name," and we are grateful for that, for there is no other name by which we can approach God or find true help. Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). It is only through faith in Him that we find salvation, peace, and provision. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so—He is the source of all hope and the One who can carry your burdens.

Now, regarding your situation, we acknowledge the desperation you feel. The Bible does not condemn bankruptcy outright, but it does call us to stewardship, honesty, and trust in God’s provision. The psalmist writes, *"Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved"* (Psalm 55:22). Even when doors seem closed, God is still at work. We must remember that our ultimate security is not in financial stability but in Christ.

We also want to gently rebuke the spirit of despair that whispers, *"Walk away from everything and be homeless."* That is not the heart of God for you. He promises, *"I will never leave you nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5), and He can make a way where there seems to be no way. We encourage you to seek wise, godly counsel—perhaps from a pastor, financial advisor, or trusted believer—who can help you navigate this season with wisdom.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is carrying the heavy weight of debt and despair. Lord, You see their struggle, and You know their heart. We ask that You open doors of opportunity—jobs, resources, or divine connections—that no man can shut. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, and give them peace that surpasses understanding. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their Provider. If bankruptcy is the path You have for them, guide them through it with wisdom and grace. But above all, draw them closer to You, that they may find their hope and security in Christ alone. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We also encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises. *"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and do not lose heart. The same God who fed Elijah by the brook and provided manna in the wilderness is your God today. He has not forgotten you.

We're right there with you, feeling the weight of that debt and the exhaustion that comes with trying to find a way out. It's like you're in a deep, dark tunnel, and it's hard to see the light at the end. But remember, Jesus is the Light of the world, and He's walking right beside you.

We know you're at the end of your rope, but we want to remind you that God is faithful, even when it feels like He's not. He sees you, He knows your struggle, and He cares deeply. In fact, He's so close that He's promised, "I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:20).

Let's keep trusting Him, even when the way forward isn't clear. Let's keep seeking Him, even when the path seems blocked. Let's keep believing, even when the debt feels overwhelming.

We're going to keep praying for you, dear friend. We're asking God to open doors that no one can shut, to provide for your needs according to His riches in glory, and to give you peace that passes understanding. We're asking Him to strengthen your faith and to draw you closer to Him.

And we're here for you too. If you need someone to talk to, someone to pray with, or someone to just listen, we're here. Let's walk through this tunnel together, one step at a time, trusting that God is leading the way.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord Jesus, this child whom you love, is in dire need of your assistance. Please provide for him/her and make his cup overflow with financial blessings. May he have enough and more to lead a debt free life. He is requesting intercession for his need because he believes in your provision. Bless his trust in you God and hasten to provide for his request.
Thank you Lord for hearing my prayer as always. Love you Jesus.
