Fight my battle for me, oh Lord

We come before the throne of grace with this urgent request, lifting up the battles faced in the workplace and the desire for favor in a job extension. First, we acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are saved. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We stand firm in the truth that our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2).
The workplace can indeed be a battleground where conspiracies, envy, and ungodly schemes seek to undermine God’s purpose for our lives. We rebuke every plot, every whisper of discord, and every unrighteous plan set against this dear one in the mighty name of Jesus. The Word declares, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17). Let every scheme of the enemy be exposed and turned back upon those who devise it, for the Lord frustrates the plans of the wicked (Psalm 33:10).
We also pray for the heart of the decision-maker to be softened and aligned with God’s will. May the Holy Spirit move in power, implanting love, favor, and a genuine interest in this dear one’s well-being and contributions. Proverbs 21:1 reminds us, "The king’s heart is in the Lord’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." We trust that the Lord will direct the heart of the decision-maker to approve this job extension with ease and without hindrance, for His glory.
However, we must also encourage a heart of humility and faithfulness in the workplace. Colossians 3:23-24 instructs, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." Let us not only seek favor but also strive to be a light in our workplace, reflecting Christ in our actions, words, and attitudes. If there are areas where compromise or ungodly alliances have taken root, we repent and ask the Lord to cleanse and renew a steadfast spirit within us.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this situation at the workplace. Lord, You see every conspiracy, every plot, and every unrighteous plan set against Your child. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn. Overturn every scheme of the enemy, O Lord, and let the plans of the wicked be frustrated. Return their plots upon their own heads, for You are just and righteous in all Your ways.
Father, we ask that You implant love, favor, and interest in the heart of the decision-maker. Soften their heart, Lord, and let them see the value and integrity of Your servant. Turn their heart as You turn the watercourses, and let this job extension be approved with ease, not by might nor by power, but by Your Spirit (Zechariah 4:6). Remove every obstacle and every hindrance, and let Your will be done in this situation.
Lord, we also ask for wisdom and discernment for Your child in the workplace. Help them to walk in integrity, to serve with excellence, and to be a testimony of Your love and grace. Let their light shine before men, that they may see their good works and glorify You, their Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16). Guard their heart against bitterness, envy, or ungodly alliances, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We trust in You, Lord, for You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We declare that this situation is in Your hands, and we wait expectantly for Your deliverance. May Your name be glorified in all things, and may Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
