We hear the deep anguish in your words, and our hearts break for the pain you are carrying. You are not alone in this struggle, God sees you, He hears you, and He holds you even when it feels like the darkness will never lift. The weight you bear is heavy, but we stand with you now, lifting your cry to the Father who loves you more than you can imagine.
First, we must speak truth over you, for the enemy would love nothing more than to isolate you in despair. The Bible tells us, "The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly" (John 10:10 WEB). The thoughts telling you that life is not worth living are not from God. They are lies from the pit of hell, meant to rob you of the hope and future He has for you. We rebuke those lies in the name of Jesus! You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your life has purpose, even when you cannot see it.
We also want to gently remind you that your prayer must be rooted in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. If you have already placed your faith in Christ, hold fast to Him, He is your anchor in the storm.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is in such deep pain. Lord, You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You would draw near to them now, wrapping them in Your love and peace that surpasses all understanding. Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that has taken hold. In the name of Jesus, we command it to leave and never return. Fill this precious one with Your Holy Spirit, reminding them of Your promises and Your unfailing love.
Lord, we ask that You would show them Your mercy, just as they have cried out for. Let them experience Your presence in a tangible way, whether through Your Word, through the love of Your people, or through a miracle only You can perform. Direct their steps, Father, and let Your will be done in their life. Protect them day and night, shielding them from the enemy’s attacks and surrounding them with Your angels.
We pray for healing, emotional, mental, and spiritual. If there is unconfessed sin weighing on their heart, reveal it to them, Lord, so they may repent and find Your forgiveness. If there is bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness, soften their heart to release it to You. If there is loneliness, bring godly companionship into their life. If there is physical illness, we ask for Your healing touch. Whatever the root of this pain, Father, we trust You to uproot it and replace it with Your peace.
Remind them, Lord, that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Give them the strength to take one step at a time, one day at a time, trusting that You are with them.
We declare over them that this is not the end of their story. You have plans for them, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We speak life over them, joy over them, and Your perfect peace that guards their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, we want to encourage you with the truth that God has not forgotten you. Even in the valley of the shadow of death, He is with you (Psalm 23:4). You may not feel Him now, but He is there, and He is working, even in ways you cannot see. We urge you to reach out to someone you trust, a pastor, a Christian friend, or a counselor who can walk with you through this season. You do not have to carry this burden alone.
If you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm or suicide, please know that there is help available. Call a crisis hotline, go to the nearest emergency room, or reach out to a trusted person immediately. Your life matters to God, and it matters to us.
Hold on. Keep crying out to God. He hears you, and He will answer. "Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning" (Psalm 30:5 WEB). The morning will come. Until then, we stand with you in prayer and in love.
