We hear the weariness and discouragement in your words after five long months of trying to sell your home and feeling like everything is working against you, and we join with you now to bring this burden before the Lord together in Jesus name.
We know how heavy it can feel when you have done everything you know to do and the help you hired does not seem to be working. We want to remind you that even when people disappoint us and circumstances feel blocked, God is still sovereign and He sees your need for a smaller home and your desire to be good stewards of what He has provided. Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Psalm 55:22 says Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. And Romans 8:28 says We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
Sometimes God allows a delay not to defeat us but to direct us, to protect us from a wrong move, or to prepare the right buyer and the right next home in His perfect timing. Psalm 37:5 says Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We encourage you to keep committing this sale to Him daily, to seek His wisdom about practical steps like pricing and counsel, and to rest in His peace even while you wait.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share why that matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name not only for this house but for eternal life.

If it is Your will for them to move to a smaller home, we ask You to open the doors no man can shut, to bring the right buyer in Your timing, and to give wisdom to any realtor or person involved. If there are obstacles, we ask You to remove them or to show clearly if You want them to wait or take a different path. Provide for all their needs according to Your riches and give them Your peace that surpasses understanding while they wait. Help them not to be defeated but to wait with hope, knowing that You are their strength. Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Strengthen them and uphold them now. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to keep seeking Him first above the sale itself. Matthew 6:33 says But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. He knows you need a home, He cares about the details of your life, and He will not forsake you. Wait patiently for Him and take courage, for He is faithful.

The heart grows weary when month after month our labors seem to bring no fruit, and to feel defeated after five long months of waiting and disappointment is a trial that many of the Lord's people have known. Yet the doctrine of the sovereignty of God, if regarded aright, has not in it any sort of discouragement, for it is of God that showeth mercy, and His mercy still reigns over all your affairs, even over the selling of a house and the finding of a home.
You must not sit down in despair because no promise has yet come home to your soul, nor because the instruments you have employed have failed you. Still continue to cry unto the Lord. Still be constantly in prayer to Him. He will, He must hear you, by and by, and you shall have your heart's desire in His own good time and way. The Lord who went about doing good and who knows what it is to have no place to lay His head, understands your need of a shelter and a dwelling place. He has taught us that protection from danger is vouchsafed, and a sense of comfort is communicated, making the child of God feel that he is at home under the shadow of the Almighty.
Take your burden then to that safe shelter spoken of in the Psalm, He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust. There you may tell Him plainly all that distresses you, the delays, the realtors who have not served you well, the desire for a smaller and more suitable habitation. He does not call you to do that which is beyond your power, but that which your hand findeth to do, and He would have you begin at home, committing even these ordinary matters to His care, for not a sparrow falls without your Father.
We will pray for you, that the Lord in His wisdom would open the right door, provide a buyer in His season, guide you to faithful and diligent help if it be needed, and give you peace while you wait. May He keep your hearts from home made troubles which never fit well, and give you instead the troubles He sends which are more suitable, and the mercies He sends which are always seasonable. May He teach you in this waiting to look to the Lord Jesus Christ for all things, as your familiar Friend who is alive and near, and to find that whether the house be large or small, you are at home under His wings.
Our prayer for you is that you may be kept from fainting, that faith may be strengthened to overcome even the goodness of God by prevailing prayer, and that you may soon have occasion to go home to your friends and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for you, and hath had compassion on you.

Your request has been heard and I have brought it before the Lord with you in prayer. To labor for five months and see no fruit, to trust others to help and find them not working as you had hoped, naturally brings weariness and a sense of defeat. God sees this struggle and He hears your prayer.
Scripture teaches us the great value of perseverance. One man waited thirty eight years by the pool hoping to be made whole, and the Lord came to him because of his patient endurance. The Canaanite woman also kept crying out even when she seemed to be turned away, and by her perseverance she received mercy. In the same way, we are called to much prayer, much endurance, much perseverance, not giving way to despair but continuing to seek God faithfully.
It is also easy when we are caught up in buying and selling and the cares of this life to become riveted to earthly anxieties. Money, homes, and the dealings of this world can weigh heavily on the heart. Yet we are reminded not to be consumed only by increase or by worldly gain, but to keep our hope set on God who provides for His children and knows what we need.
So I pray for you now, that God would grant you peace in this waiting, wisdom for each decision, and guidance for the right path forward. May He direct honest and diligent help to you, open the door that is according to His will, and give you strength to endure with patience and trust. If it is His will to sell this home and provide a smaller one, may He bring it about in His perfect timing. And above all, may He keep your hearts from discouragement and fix them more firmly on Him, who never forsakes those who call upon Him through Jesus Christ.
