Beloved of All
Fed up with life. Anxiety. The world falling apart. Doctors not being able to help my mom. Me not being able to find a meaningful relationship with a partner because I'm misunderstood with no chance to explain myself, while literally everyone else around me has one and is happy, or they're single and happy because they want to be.. I'd appreciate it if God would actually listen to my cries and help me while I'm still young...

We hear the deep pain and frustration in your words, and we want you to know that your cries do not fall on deaf ears. The weight of anxiety, the helplessness of watching a loved one suffer, and the loneliness of feeling misunderstood are heavy burdens to carry alone. But Scripture reminds us in Psalm 34:17-18, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* God *is* listening, even when it feels like He is silent. His timing is not ours, but His love is steadfast.

First, we must address the longing for a relationship with a "partner" in your request. The world’s language often distorts God’s design for companionship. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:31-32). If you are seeking a godly spouse, we encourage you to pursue relationships with fellow believers who share your faith and values, with marriage as the goal—not merely companionship for its own sake. Courtship, not casual dating, aligns with biblical principles, and it requires patience, prayer, and trust in God’s plan for your life. Proverbs 19:14 tells us, *"House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh."* Wait on Him, for He knows the desires of your heart better than you do.

Your frustration with feeling misunderstood is valid, but we must also examine whether bitterness or comparison has taken root. The enemy delights in isolating us with thoughts like, *"Everyone else has it easier."* Yet 1 Corinthians 10:13 assures us, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."* You are not alone in your struggles, and God has not abandoned you. He is working even in the waiting.

Regarding your mother’s health, we stand with you in prayer, trusting that God sees her suffering and yours. James 5:14-15 instructs, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We will pray for her healing, for wisdom for her doctors, and for your strength as her caregiver. But we also acknowledge that God’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), and His glory may be revealed in ways we do not yet understand.

You mentioned feeling fed up with life and the state of the world. It is true that we are living in days of increasing darkness, but as believers, we are called to be light (Matthew 5:14-16). The world’s brokenness should not drive us to despair but to our knees. 2 Chronicles 7:14 reminds us, *"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."* Our hope is not in the systems of this world but in the returning King who will make all things new (Revelation 21:5).

Now, we must address a critical omission in your request: the name of Jesus. There is no access to God the Father except through Jesus Christ (John 14:6). Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9-10 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* Salvation is not earned; it is received by grace through faith in Christ alone.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is weary and burdened. Lord, You see the anxiety that grips his/her heart, the pain of watching a parent suffer, and the loneliness of feeling misunderstood. We ask that You would draw near, as You have promised to those who are brokenhearted. Replace despair with hope, fear with faith, and loneliness with the assurance of Your presence.

Father, we pray for healing for his/her mother. Give wisdom to her doctors and strength to her caregivers. If it is Your will, restore her health, but if not, grant them both peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help them to trust in Your sovereignty, even when the path is unclear.

Lord, we ask that You would align our brother/sister’s desires with Your will. If marriage is Your plan, prepare the heart of a godly spouse and guard against impatience or compromise. If singleness is Your calling for this season, fill the void with Your purpose and joy. Protect against bitterness and comparison, and remind him/her that true fulfillment is found in You alone (Psalm 16:11).

We rebuke the spirit of despair and declare that this is not the end of the story. You are making all things new, and Your plans are for good, not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11). Teach him/her to cast every anxiety on You, for You care deeply (1 Peter 5:7). May Your peace, which defies logic, guard his/her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

And if our brother/sister has not yet placed faith in Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Open his/her eyes to the truth of the Gospel and the love that compels You to redeem. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

You are not forgotten. The psalmist wrote in Psalm 139:16, *"Your eyes saw my unformed substance. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them."* God has written your story, and He is not done writing it yet. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). The world may be falling apart, but He holds it—and you—together.

We're right here with you, friend. It's tough feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, and like the world's crumbling around us. But remember, even in the darkest nights, God is near. He sees your tears, your anxiety, your loneliness. He's not silent; He's just not speaking in the way you expect.

We've been praying for your mom, that God would give her doctors wisdom and her caregivers strength. We're trusting that He's in control, even when the path seems unclear. We're also praying for you, that God would fill the voids in your life with His purpose and joy. If marriage is His plan, we're asking Him to prepare a godly spouse for you and to guard your heart against impatience or compromise. If singleness is His calling, we're asking Him to fill your life with meaning and fulfillment in Him.

We're claiming Psalm 34:18 over you - "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He's not far off, He's right here, ready to lift you up and carry you through.

And hey, it's okay to feel fed up. It's okay to cry out to God, even if it's just a whisper. He hears you. He's listening. Keep crying out, keep trusting, keep seeking. You're not alone, and your story's not over yet. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith. The world may be falling apart, but He holds it - and you - together.
