I would really appreciate your prayers at this time. There is alot of fear around my mother because of what she did to me as a child. Please pray for me.

We have heard your cry and we are lifting you up in prayer together at this time, for we know that fear rooted in childhood wounds can run very deep and the Lord sees all that you have carried from what your mother did to you as a child.

We want to remind you that God does not want you to live in fear and He understands the pain and trauma you experienced. His heart is to bring healing and perfect peace. The Scripture tells us For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Tim 1:7 and also There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18. When fear rises up around your mother, we encourage you to run to the Lord who is your refuge and deliverer, as it is written I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4 and Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isa 41:10.

We also know that God is near to the brokenhearted and wants to heal the wounds of the past, for He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. What happened to you as a child was not your fault, and while God calls us to honor our father and mother as in Eph 6:2, that does not mean we are to remain in harm or pretend that sin did not happen. If there is still danger or unhealthy patterns, it is wise and biblical to establish safe boundaries while still walking in truth and grace. Forgiveness through Christ does not mean excusing what was done or immediately trusting without repentance and change, but it does mean releasing the burden of vengeance to God so that your own heart can be free and healed, as we are told Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Eph 4:32. We encourage you to seek wise, godly counsel as well, perhaps a trusted pastor or biblical counselor who can walk with you through this healing journey, for wisdom is found in a multitude of counselors.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and find true peace and salvation. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by calling upon the name of Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven, adopted as children of God, and given a new Father whose love never fails or harms us.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. You know the fear that rises up around their mother and You know every detail of what happened in childhood. We ask You to wrap them in Your perfect love that casts out all fear, to be their protector and comforter. Lord, heal the broken places in their heart, bind up every wound, and deliver them from all fear and anxiety. Grant them Your power, love and self-control where fear has taken hold. Give them wisdom to navigate the relationship with their mother in a way that honors You, with healthy boundaries and with grace to forgive as You have forgiven us, while trusting You as their ultimate defender. Draw them closer to Jesus, assure them of their salvation and identity as Your beloved child, and let them know the peace that passes all understanding. Lead them to safe and godly support and let Your healing work continue day by day. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our healer, amen.

Thank you for trusting us with something so painful. The fear you feel around your mother makes a lot of sense when you were hurt by her as a child. When the person who should have been safe causes harm, it can leave a deep imprint, and that sense of being small and powerless can linger long after childhood has passed. It is understandable that being near her or even thinking about her would bring fear back up.

We want you to know you are not alone in carrying this, and God sees the weight you have been carrying. Healing from early harm often takes time and gentle support, not just trying to push the fear away on your own.

One step that many find helpful is having one safe person to walk with you, whether a trusted pastor, a counselor experienced in childhood abuse, or another wise and steady support. If you do not already have that, would you consider reaching out to someone like that in the coming days. If at any point you feel unsafe, please reach out for help right away from someone you trust. We are also praying for wisdom about boundaries and contact with your mother that honor both your safety and your peace.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You know the memories and the fear that rises up. We ask You to surround them with Your presence, to give them safety, calm and clear wisdom for each next decision. Lead them to caring help and bring steady healing in Your time. In Jesus name, amen.

Your cry has been heard and we have brought your burden before the Lord with tender care. To carry fear in your heart toward your own mother because of what was done to you as a child is a deep and painful wound, and it is right that you should seek prayer and seek the healing that only Christ can give.

We want you to know that the Lord sees what was done in secret and He knows the fear that now lingers. He does not despise a trembling heart, but invites you to come near to Him for refuge. The Scripture says, There is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared. This is a great truth for one who is afraid. There is with God, through Jesus Christ His Son, a full and complete forgiveness, not a partial pardon but a surprising and eternal forgiveness that blots out sin. It is to be obtained from God alone, through the precious blood of Christ, and it is unlimited in its character. Though your sins be many, His forgiveness is more. If you have never done so, believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself, as a poor sinner trusting wholly in Christ, and you shall find that He forgives and does not afterwards accuse.

And this forgiveness brings with it a new kind of fear. There is a servile fear that torments and shakes the soul, the fear of man and the fear of what others have done to us. But when the Lord forgives, He puts His own fear within the heart, a holy awe and love toward Himself, which casts out tormenting fear. The promise of the covenant is, I will put My fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from Me. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you. When you know that you are pardoned and cleansed, you come to love and fear the Blessed One who has healed you, and that fear of God becomes your safety and your strength. The fear of the Lord then is not dread, but reverence and trust, and those who have it are delightful to Him.

With forgiveness there also comes healing. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ has healing virtue. The prophet says, The inhabitant shall not say, I am sick, and the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity. Healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction. Christ can heal the wounds that were made in childhood, change the life blood, and make the nature new. He does not play fast and loose with men, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. What He forgives He forgives forever, and what He heals He heals truly.

We would urge you to keep looking to Christ for this forgiveness and healing, and to walk in the light of it day by day, for He continues daily to forgive. As you have received such great forgiveness, you will in time be enabled to forgive even those who have deeply trespassed against you, even as Christ forgave you. This does not mean that what was done was not sinful, nor does it require you to place yourself again in a place of harm. Forgiveness is of the heart before God, and wisdom and safety must guide what fellowship is possible. Seek the counsel of a faithful pastor and of wise and trusted believers who can walk with you, pray with you, and help you to establish right boundaries while you seek healing.

Let us pray for you now.

O Lord our God, with whom there is forgiveness that You may be feared, look in mercy upon this wounded one who is compassed about with fear. Lord, You know what was suffered in childhood and the trembling that remains. Grant present forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ, and let the knowledge of pardon bring holy fear and holy love into the heart. Put Your fear within, that tormenting fear may be driven out. Spread Your healing leaves over this life and make whole what has been broken. Give wisdom to know how to walk with a mother who caused such hurt, give protection and give peace, and let this soul dwell in safety under Your statutes and judgments. Keep this one from departing from You, and let it be seen that You have done strange and gracious things in this house of prayer. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour we ask it. Amen.

We will continue to pray for you. Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you, and seek not to bear this burden alone but in the fellowship of His people and under the care of His Word.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing this honest request and for trusting us to pray with you. The fear you carry because of what your mother did to you as a child is understandable, and God sees both the wound from the past and the fear you feel in the present.

Scripture teaches that God commanded us to honor father and mother, and that command remains holy. Honoring does not mean pretending that harm did not happen, nor does it mean placing yourself back in danger or denying the truth of what you suffered. To honor is to live truthfully before God, to seek what is good and right, and to leave judgment and healing in His hands while you walk in wisdom.

The psalm says the Lord is a stronghold of those who fear Him, and His covenant is to show them His way. When fear rises from memories of childhood, God does not want you to be left trembling alone. He wants to be your place of safety, like a kind mother who places her children in safety, guarding your heart and mind in Christ. The fear of the Lord, which is reverence and trust in Him, can steady you when fear of people and fear of the past feels overwhelming.

I want to pray for you now, and to encourage you to keep seeking support from trusted pastoral care and, if needed, wise Christian counselors who can walk with you over time. You do not have to carry this alone.

Let us pray. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, who alone is our salvation and our peace, we bring this dear one before You. You know the pain that was caused in childhood and the fear that remains. We ask You to be a stronghold and refuge. Quiet the trembling of heart and conscience with Your presence. Give comfort where there has been hurt, and heal what has been wounded. Grant wisdom to know how to relate to a mother with both truth and love, including wise boundaries that protect safety and health. Help fear to be replaced little by little with confidence in Your care, and teach the heart to rest in Your love. Lead toward people who will listen well, give godly counsel, and walk faithfully alongside. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who broke the prison and the gates of fear by His cross and resurrection, and who lives to intercede for us. Amen.

Please keep reaching out. God is near to you, He hears your prayer, and He is able to give you peace and strength one step at a time. If fear becomes overwhelming or you ever feel unsafe, please reach out right away to a trusted pastor, counselor, or safe person near you.
