Fear of rejection

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have been lifting up your fear of rejection and the burden you shared about listening again to a very secular band you liked back in the ###. We understand you relate to one of their songs and you love their romantic songs and now you fear that God will take away your standing as chosen or take away His blessings favor and provision or bring punishment for listening to their music. We have been praying that God will quiet that fear with His perfect peace and help you rest in His love.

We are reminded that our standing as chosen is kept by His grace and not by our performance. We take comfort in what is written in Eph 2:8 that we are saved by grace through faith and in John 10:28 that no one can snatch us from His hand and in 1 John 4:18 that perfect love casts out fear and in Rom 8:1 that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ. We have asked God to show you more deeply that His favor and provision are not fragile and are not removed by a song and to give you wisdom and freedom as you listen with discernment while resting secure in Him.

If your request was answered and God has given you peace and assurance of His love and that you remain chosen and blessed in Christ please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and fear still weighs on your heart please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We pray that God will fill you with assurance of His unfailing love that He will calm your heart when fear of rejection rises that He will help you enjoy music with a clear conscience and that you will know you are fully kept and provided for by Him. We ask this in Jesus Name.

We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer concerning your fear of rejection and the worry that listening again to that secular band from the 90s would cause God to take away your standing as chosen or to remove His blessings, favor and provision from your life.

We have continued to bring you before the Lord and to ask Him to quiet your fear of punishment with His perfect love and assurance. We want to remind you that your position in Christ is not kept by your performance in this area but by His grace. We pray you will be rooted in the truth that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord as written in Rom 8:38 and that perfect love casts out fear as written in 1 John 4:18. The Lord does not deal with us according to our sins as written in Psalm 103:10 and He who chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world as written in Eph 1:4 will be faithful to keep you.

At the same time we pray the Lord will give you peace and discernment as you enjoy music that you relate to, and that you will feel His nearness rather than fear when you come to Him, knowing He corrects His children in love and does not cast them away.
