We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to our Heavenly Father. First, we must address the importance of approaching God in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so, for He is the way, the truth, and the life.
Now, we lift up this matter of the green card application. We understand the weight and significance of this process, and we stand in the gap, asking for God's favor and mercy to be poured out. Father, we ask that You would go before this application, softening hearts and opening doors that no man can shut. We pray that Your will be done in this situation, for You know the plans You have for us—plans for welfare, not for evil, to give a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Lord, we ask for Your mercy to overrule any judgment or obstacle that may stand in the way. Remember this individual, Lord, as You remembered Noah in the ark, Joseph in the pit, and the Israelites in Egypt. Let Your hand of protection and provision be evident in this process. We declare that no weapon formed against this application shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke any spirit of delay or confusion in Jesus' name.
We also encourage patience and trust in God’s timing. The Bible tells us that those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31). Even when the process seems long or uncertain, we must hold fast to our faith, knowing that God is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
Father, we ask that You would grant wisdom and discernment to those making decisions in this matter. Let them see this application through Your eyes, Lord, and may Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray for favor not because of our own merits, but because of Your great love and faithfulness.
Lastly, we rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this situation is in Your hands, and we trust You to bring it to completion according to Your perfect will.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
