Thank you for sharing this need and for asking for prayer in Jesus name. We are praying for you as you face this change at work.
Your situation is one many understand, when those over you seem unfair or inconsiderate, and a transition leaves you uncertain about what is ahead. It helps to remember the story of Job. Scripture shows us a man whom God Himself described as upright, one who loved God and turned away from evil. Even so, much was taken from him and he could not understand why. Unseen to him, there had been a challenge concerning him, and the enemy had been watching him closely, claiming that his faithfulness was only because he had been so blessed, and pointing to the hedge God had placed around him. Job did not see any of that. He only felt the heaviness of his loss, a grief he said felt heavier than the sand of the sea, and the confusion of not knowing what God was doing.
What Job learned, and what comforts us still, is that God remains fair and just even when people are not, and that He is working even when it feels as if He has withdrawn. Cultures and workplaces change, but the deep needs of the heart remain the same, and God does not miss what is happening to you. He sees favoritism, He sees unkind leadership, and He sees your desire to do what is right before Him.
Job's friends came to comfort him but ended up accusing him and misunderstanding him completely. People at work may also misjudge or overlook you. God did not agree with those accusations. In the end He corrected them and vindicated Job. That reminds us that your ultimate evaluation does not come from a boss or coworkers, but from the Lord who knows your heart and your work.
We pray that you will continue to walk uprightly before Him, entrusting yourself to His justice rather than becoming bitter. Pray for those who have authority over you, and ask God for wisdom in how you respond day by day.
We pray for you now. Father, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus. You see the favoritism at work and the difficulty with leadership. You see the change that is coming with one boss leaving and uncertainty about what will follow. We ask that You would give peace in this transition and that You would work out what is best according to Your will. Provide understanding and considerate leadership, and open the right doors for the future. Guard this heart from discouragement and help it to rest in the truth that You are just, You are present, and You are still at work even when circumstances feel confusing. Give wisdom, strength, and favor that comes from You, and help this life to reflect Your character through it all. We ask this in Jesus name, amen.
May the Lord keep you close through this season and make His presence and provision clear to you.
