🇺🇸Favor & Wisdom Godly Leaders in Authority, Acts7:10, 🙌 Praise God for Some Movement, 🙏 Resolve Conflicts

The very intensity of your plea reveals a soul caught in the tempest of worldly anxieties. You beg for a resolution before the month's end, as if the kingdom of heaven depended upon the decrees of princes. Cut out this root of fear, and the fruit of conflict will wither. For every conflict, every shutdown and strife you describe, springs from the things of this life, from covetousness, vainglory, and the lust for power. You pray for your leaders to have wisdom like Joseph and Daniel, and this is good, but do not imagine that their favor was a life free from chains or lion's dens. Their glory was not in avoiding the pit, but in standing firm within it, their eyes fixed not on the colored tunic of earthly honor, but on the God who gave it.

You ask for heavenly intelligence to circumvent plots before they occur, yet a temptation cannot be long and severe at once. When the righteous are on the point of coming to the end of their conflicts, He often enhances their struggles, just as He did with Abraham’s last trial concerning his child. The very nearness of a resolution may be the reason the pressure intensifies. This is the angelic condition of the Church, that in afflictions we learn to despise the things of the earth. Has a man stolen peace from the government? He has not injured the soul. Let them not steal your treasure which is above. If a shutdown comes, it is but a name of loss, or rather a shame for those who cause it, not for those who remain at peace.

You have armed yourself with words from Ephesians and James, commanding us to resist the devil. This is necessary, but listen carefully to the Master’s own strategy: He teaches us to deprecate all conflicts, instead of rushing upon them. We must stand nobly when we are dragged forth, but when we are not summoned to the front lines of political theater, we should be quiet and wait for the time of conflict. The louder your spirit clamors for a visible victory by the end of next month, the softer it becomes, softer than wax. Where are the stripes, the prisons, the synagogues set against us now? Yet see how a delay in legislation confounds us more than scourges confounded the apostles.

Therefore, continue to offer your prayers, petitions, and thanksgivings for all in authority, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior. Pray for them, yes, that we may live peaceful lives. But if the peace falters, do not let your faith shutter. He who plots against his neighbor first destroys himself; the injustice of others cannot stain your inner sanctuary unless you let vainglory for a resolved month steal your higher peace. The abomination of desolation stands in the holy place of a heart that trusts in chariots and horses rather than the name of the Lord. Let your only inflexible deadline be the readiness of your own soul. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and do not tie the belt of your peace to a legislative calendar.

Your prayer for those in authority, asking that they receive heavenly wisdom and favor, resonates with the heart of what God has always offered His people. You are standing in the right place, because Scripture makes it clear that wisdom is the principal thing, the very foundation for navigating life and governance in a way that honors the Lord and brings peace.

What you are pleading for is not mere cleverness or political cunning. The wisdom that comes from above is distinct. It is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits. It does not descend from earthly calculations or the sensuality of self-interest, but from the fear of the Lord. And the fear of the Lord is the starting point, the very beginning, of genuine wisdom. So when we ask God to grant our leaders wisdom like Joseph or Daniel, we are asking that they would bow to that holy fear, recognizing His authority over every decision and outcome.

True wisdom is personified in Proverbs as a voice crying out in the chief places, making herself known to all who will listen. She is more valuable than rubies; nothing we desire can compare. And that wisdom is ultimately found in Christ, in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden. So your prayer aligns with the deep reality that God loves to answer the plea: "Grant me wisdom." Solomon asked for it in order to rule God's people rightly, and the Lord not only gave him extraordinary understanding but also added what he had not requested. When we seek wisdom for righteous governance, we are seeking something that preserves life and brings resolution where human reason fails.

The world's wisdom, by contrast, often veers into strife, envy, and confusion. It may boast for a season, but it comes to nothing. Your petitions against spiritual darkness and your request for angelic protection show that you are not basing hope on what is earthly or sensual but on the power of God. This is the very resistance that Scripture calls us to: standing firm against the invisible forces of evil, knowing that the wrestling match is not against flesh and blood. And in that battle, the weapons we use are not carnal but mighty through God, informed by His intelligence ahead of time, as Elisha knew the plans of the enemy king.

Continue to offer your prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for all in authority, as you have been doing. Trust that the God who delights to give wisdom will impart to them words of wisdom and knowledge that cannot be contradicted. He can illuminate their path, expose hidden schemes, and guide them to a resolution that prevents a shutdown and brings about just order. And remember that the path of wisdom is not a secret reserved for a few; it cries out openly for all who will hear. The very act of asking, in faith and without wavering, positions them and us to receive it.

As these matters reach their decisive moment, rest in the promise that wisdom gives life to those who have it and that favor comes from the Lord, often through the quiet, steadfast faithfulness of intercession. May the Spirit of wisdom and understanding rest upon those you are lifting up, and may the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We are deeply grateful for the privilege to stand with you in prayer for our leaders and those in authority, seeking God’s wisdom, favor, and protection over them. Your heart for godly leadership and your reliance on Scripture as the foundation for these prayers have encouraged us all. We have continued to lift up these requests before the Lord, asking Him to grant wisdom like that of Joseph with his many-colored tunic, to surround our leaders with heavenly protection as David’s mighty men were guarded, and to expose and thwart the schemes of darkness before they can take root.

We rejoice with you in the movement you’ve already seen and praise God for His faithfulness in responding even now. Yet we know the battle is ongoing, and we stand firm with you, resisting the enemy’s plans and declaring God’s victory over every conflict and decision that lies ahead. We pray that the Lord would continue to illuminate the path for our leaders, giving them discernment, courage, and favor as they navigate these challenges. May He resolve every conflict before the end of this month, preventing any shutdown and bringing about a peaceful, godly outcome that reflects His will.

If the Lord has answered these prayers in ways you’ve already seen, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report so we can rejoice together. If the answers are still unfolding or the battle feels unyielding, we invite you to post this request again so we may continue to intercede with you. We will not grow weary in standing with you, for we know that our labor in prayer is never in vain.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
