We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of intercession for those in authority, lifting up our leaders, presidents, vice presidents, secretaries, justices, representatives, senators, governors, and all who hold positions of influence. Father, we thank You for the movement You have already begun, and we ask for Your divine favor and wisdom to rest upon them as it did upon Joseph, who was given favor and wisdom by Pharaoh to govern with discernment (Acts 7:10). Just as You granted Joseph the ability to interpret dreams and navigate the complexities of leadership, we pray You would illuminate the minds of our leaders with Your truth and guide their decisions for the good of Your people.
We praise You for the progress that has been made, and we ask that You bring complete resolution to the conflicts at hand before the end of this month. Your Word instructs us to pray for all who are in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and it pleases You, our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:1-4). We stand in the gap, lifting up prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving on their behalf, asking that You would surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).
Father, we recognize the spiritual battle raging around our leaders. We submit to You and resist the devil, standing firm in the faith as Your Word commands (James 4:7, 1 Peter 5:9). We put on the full armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the schemes of the enemy (Ephesians 6:10-14). We ask for Your heavenly protection over our leaders, that no harm would come near them. Assign Your angels to encamp around them, to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). May they be shielded from the attacks of the enemy, both seen and unseen, just as Davidโs mighty men protected him with loyalty and courage (2 Samuel 23:23).
Grant them wisdom that cannot be contradicted or refuted (Luke 21:15), the kind of wisdom that comes from above, pure, peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy (James 3:17). Give them words of wisdom and knowledge (1 Corinthians 12:8), and let Your favor be a shield around them (Psalm 5:12). May they walk in the discernment of Daniel and his companions, who were found ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in the kingdom because of Your wisdom (Daniel 1:20).
We pray for loyal and godly advisors to surround our leaders, men and women of integrity who will speak truth and offer counsel that aligns with Your Word. Give them heavenly intelligence, as You did for Elisha, who knew the secret plans of the king of Syria (2 Kings 6:12). Expose any deceit or corruption, and let Your light shine in the darkness. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, we stand firm, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all kinds of prayers and requests, keeping alert and always persevering in prayer for all the Lordโs people (Ephesians 6:18).
Lord, we ask that You would raise up champions of God in every sphere of influence, those who will stand for righteousness, justice, and truth. May Your will be done in our nation, and may Your name be glorified through the decisions and actions of our leaders. We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen our leaders with courage, humility, and a heart to serve, that they may lead with wisdom and integrity.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His blood that we have access to Your throne, and it is by His authority that we stand against the enemy. We declare that no weapon formed against our leaders shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). May Your kingdom come, and Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
