We join with you in bringing this need before the Lord and we thank you for sharing your heart with us. We understand you have walked through difficult situations at work in the past and that things are now getting better, and you desire to have favor and to be trusted again by your boss and colleagues. This is a good and humble desire, and we are praying with you for restoration and grace in your workplace.
We want to gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to share why that matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. As Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we are told there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. So we come to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, trusting in His death and resurrection for our forgiveness and our relationship with God, and we encourage you to put your full trust in Him as your Lord and Savior if you have not already.
The Scripture speaks much about favor and about our work. In Proverbs 3:3-4 we read, Don't let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man. And in Colossians 3:23 we are reminded, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. When our ways please the Lord, He is able to give us favor even with those around us, as Proverbs 16:7 says, When a man's ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
We also pray that the favor of the Lord Himself will rest upon you and upon the work of your hands, as in Psalm 90:17, Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us. Establish the work of our hands for us. Yes, establish the work of our hands.
We pray together for you now. Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. Thank You that You have brought improvement after a difficult season at work. We ask for Your mercy and Your favor to be upon them. Lord, restore trust where it has been broken. Give them a spirit of humility, diligence, honesty and kindness, so that their boss and colleagues may see Christ in their conduct and may learn to trust them again. Help them to work faithfully as unto You, not merely to please people, but to honor You in all they do. Guard their heart from discouragement and from striving, and let Your peace rule in their workplace. Give them wisdom in their words and actions, grace to make amends where needed, and patience as trust is rebuilt over time. We ask that You would open doors that no man can shut and that You would establish the work of their hands for Your glory. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to walk with integrity and faithfulness, even in small things, to be humble and teachable, to speak truth in love, and to be quick to listen and slow to speak. If there were failures in the past, continue to own them honestly, ask forgiveness where it is needed, and let your consistent faithful service over time be a testimony. Trust is often rebuilt slowly through steady reliability. Keep committing your work to the Lord each morning in prayer, asking Him to help you serve others and to reflect His character, and He will be faithful to guide you.
