Faulty air conditioning in extreme weather conditions.

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray for my mother in Jesus' name, who has diabetes, and for her car air conditioning, which is not working at the moment in these extreme weather conditions. She screams that she is going to die.

We hear your concern for your mother’s health and comfort in this difficult situation, and we join you in lifting her up in prayer. Extreme heat can be especially dangerous for those with health conditions like diabetes, and we understand the urgency of her distress. Let us first affirm that we come before God in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the hope of His mercy and provision (John 14:6, Acts 4:12).

Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your protection and provision for this dear mother. Lord, we know that You are the Great Physician and the One who sustains us in every circumstance. We ask that You would shield her from the dangers of this extreme heat, guard her health, and bring her comfort in this trying time. Provide a solution for her air conditioning, whether through repair, replacement, or another means, so that she may have relief. Calm her fears, Lord, and remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that seeks to overwhelm her, and we declare Your peace over her mind and body. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her feel Your presence in a tangible way. We also pray for wisdom and provision for those who can assist her, whether mechanics, family, or friends, to act swiftly and effectively. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you and your mother to take practical steps to stay cool while awaiting a solution. If possible, help her relocate to a cooler environment, such as a family member’s home, a community cooling center, or even a public space with air conditioning. Encourage her to stay hydrated, avoid strenuous activity, and use fans or cool compresses to regulate her body temperature. If her distress feels unmanageable, do not hesitate to seek medical attention, as extreme heat can pose serious risks to her health.

We also want to gently address the words she has spoken, "I am going to die." While we understand this comes from a place of fear and discomfort, Scripture reminds us that our words have power and should align with God’s truth. Proverbs 18:21 tells us, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue." We encourage you both to speak life and faith over this situation, declaring God’s promises of protection and provision rather than words of despair. Even in difficult circumstances, we can choose to trust in the Lord’s faithfulness (Psalm 56:3-4).

Lastly, we want to remind you both of God’s love and care in every detail of our lives. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:25-27, "Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the air, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan?" Even in this trial, God sees your mother’s needs and is working for her good (Romans 8:28).

We will continue to stand in faith with you, believing that God will provide a way forward. May He grant you both peace and patience as you wait on Him.

Regular prayer faith worship scriotures praying you can afford a new one or else your gonna suffer in this heat. May God provide all your essential needs and be there for you in trouble also. Lord Yeshuas name amen.

We are so sorry your mother is going through this, extreme heat and a broken AC can feel overwhelming, and it’s completely understandable that she is frightened. When someone we love is in distress, it weighs heavily on us, too. We want to stand with you in prayer and also share a few grounded thoughts.

First, the physical danger is real, so please help her get into a cool place right away, even if that means sitting in a store, a library, or a friend’s home until the car can be repaired. A break from the heat can quickly ease that panicked feeling and stabilize her body, especially with ### in the picture. Encourage her to drink water and check her ###, since extreme heat can affect levels in unpredictable ways. If she has any concerning symptoms, ###, ###, ###, it’s wise to see a doctor promptly. Faith and practical care always go hand in hand.

We also want to speak to the fear in her cry. When panic sets in, our thoughts can race to the worst, and it’s hard to feel God’s nearness. But He is near, and He cares about every detail of her safety and this broken air conditioning. You can gently remind her she is not alone, you are there, we are praying, and the Lord sees her need.

Let’s pray together now:

Father, we bring this dear mother to You right now. Settle her body and her mind. Keep her safe from harm in this heat, and provide a quick, workable solution for the car. Calm the waves of fear that make her feel she might die, and let her know Your steady presence. Give her son or daughter wisdom and resourcefulness to help. We ask for Your protection and peace, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

The command rings out still: "Comfort ye, comfort ye my people." This affliction, the failing air conditioning, the oppressive heat, the cry of anguish, it is not hidden from our God. He knows your mother’s frame, her ###, her fear; He remembers she is dust. You ask for prayer in Jesus’ name, and that name is a strong tower into which we both may run.

Let this be the peculiar comfort in this affliction: God’s Word has quickened us. The external letter is precious, but the Spirit gives life. When He would comfort, He quickens. He does not always lift the trial at once, but He revives the soul within it. Your mother’s scream that she is going to die springs from a mortal dread, but remember, for the believer, to die is to leap away from death into eternal life. Christ has redeemed just such trembling souls. Though the heat beat upon her body, her life is hid with Christ in God.

Time itself is a healer under God’s hand. The promise stands: "You shall forget your misery, and remember it as waters that pass away." This ache, this stifling fear, shall not last. It will pass and be remembered only as a spent stream. There is a day coming, no more heat, no more pain, everlasting joy upon the head. Let that future pour cool consolation into this present distress.

And here is solid ground: God is faithful. He will not allow this dear mother to be tried above what she is able. Every degree of temperature, every twig of this rod, is measured by Him. There is not one drop more in this bitter cup than He has ordained. He will, with the temptation, make a way to escape, or strength to bear it. Pray earnestly for relief, but trust Him to supply the inward support if the outward trial must endure yet a little while.

Do not think her cry of weakness disqualifies her from His care. A bruised reed He will not break; smoking flax He will not quench. She feels feeble and near despair, yet the tender Shepherd carries the lambs in His bosom. This is comfort for the fearful, His power is made perfect in such weakness. Christ’s omniscience encompasses her; He knows her agony. Bid her look to Him who, in the days of His flesh, knew heat and thirst. Let your mother’s heart, and your own, rest here: Jesus lives, He intercedes, and neither heat nor the fear of death can separate her from His love.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Suffering shared is a burden lightened, and a soul in extreme distress needs a companion in sorrow, not a lecture. Weep with your mother in this trial. Let her feel that her pain is not borne in isolation, for the heat of affliction burns more fiercely when one feels alone. God has placed you there to carry part of the weight, and in that communication of sorrow, its extremity is eased.

Yet this very distress can become a contest of faith, not only for her but for you. The world would have us believe that when tribulation arrives, we must complain that we are perishing, just as your mother screams. But the faithful are called to something different. In the belly of the beast, in the unbearable heat that reason says should suffocate, Jonah did not simply scream of death. The beast contained him without his perishing. He was self-possessed; he prayed. What was incredible to human reasoning was made credible by faith. Let this be the quiet prayer of your own heart for her: that in this heated furnace, she may find the breath of the Spirit, and that her cry of despair might turn into a prayer of trust.

For this is the life to which we are appointed, not one of constant ease and working air conditioners, but a contest. The noble-spirited wrestler does not seek the bath and the laden table in the midst of the fight. This is the time for the dust, the heat, the sweat, the pressure. By tribulation we must be made perfect. It is no strange thing that a daughter of Adam with a body weakened by ### should feel this broken world pressing in upon her. Do not, then, be sad-visaged, for that is to stand with the enemy who seeks to use this suffering for discouragement. When the victory of faith is possible, when a soul might learn patience in this fiery trial, the devil breathes furiously, and nothing pains him more than our calm rejoicing in the Lord while in the fire. Would you pain him? Lift up your own heart in hope, even as you tend to hers.

Do not let your care for a lifeless machine overshadow the care for the living soul, for so we often do. Yet God’s providence extends to all things. He who heard Jacob, departing destitute and seeking only bread and raiment, hears those who cast all their anxiety upon Him. Seek these things for her from God, coolness for her body, repair for the machine, and above all the restoration of her heart’s peace. Instruct her with much long-suffering, not in the moment of her screaming, but when the Spirit gives an opening, that she might recover herself out of the snare of despair and acknowledge the truth: that whether in the deadly heat or in comfort, we are safe in the hands of the One whom even the sea-monster obeyed.
