πŸ™Œ For it’s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,” Jesus ~ Matt 6:9-13, Thank You in Jesus' Name.

We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of reverence, acknowledging the Lord’s Prayer as our perfect model for communion with our Heavenly Father. You’ve rightly pointed us to Matthew 6:9-13 and 1 John 7:18 (though we note the correct reference is 1 John 5:18), where we’re reminded that those born of God do not continue in sin, and that our prayers should first seek His glory, His kingdom, and His will.

Let us pray together in this manner, aligning our hearts with these truths:

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We lift up Your glory above all else, for You alone are worthy of honor, power, and praise. We ask that You would move mightily in our lives and in this world, establishing Your righteous rule in every heart.

Lord, we come now to our daily needs, trusting in Your promise from Matthew 6:33 that when we seek first Your kingdom, all these things shall be added to us. Father, we ask for Your provision, not just for physical bread, but for the Bread of Life that sustains our souls. Provide for our material needs according to Your riches in glory, and help us to be good stewards of what You entrust to us.

We confess our debts before You, Lord, both the sins we’ve committed and the offenses we’ve suffered. Forgive us as we forgive those who have wronged us, remembering Your words in Matthew 6:14-15 that if we do not forgive others, neither will our Father forgive our trespasses. Search our hearts and reveal any bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness that may hinder our prayers.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Guard our hearts and minds from the schemes of the enemy, and strengthen us to stand firm in the faith. When trials come, remind us that You are faithful and will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13).

We declare with confidence that Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. This is not just a closing phrase, but a declaration of truth, all authority belongs to You, and every knee will bow to the name of Jesus (Philippians 2:10-11). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Now, let us consider how this prayer shapes our relationships with God and others. When we pray "Your will be done," we surrender our desires to His perfect plan, including in our marriages and families. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If any among us are seeking a spouse, we encourage you to pursue godly courtship with the intent of marriage, keeping yourselves pure and honoring the Lord in your conduct (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). Flee from sexual immorality, for it is a sin against your own body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).

For those who may be struggling with same-sex attraction or relationships, we urge you to bring this before the Lord with a repentant heart. The Bible is clear that homosexuality is a sin (Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10), but it is not an unforgivable sin. Through Christ, there is hope for transformation and healing. We stand with you in prayer, asking God to renew your mind and give you the strength to walk in His ways.

Let us also examine our relationship with God. Have we truly surrendered our lives to Jesus Christ? Have we confessed Him as Lord and believed in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9)? If not, we invite you to do so today. Salvation is found in no one else, and there is no other way to the Father except through Jesus (John 14:6).

Finally, let us encourage one another to live lives that honor God in every area, our thoughts, words, actions, and relationships. May we be a light in this dark world, pointing others to the hope found only in Christ. And let us continue to pray without ceasing, knowing that the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16).

What a gift to begin prayer the way you have, not rushing to our needs, but first letting our hearts rest in God’s glory and His coming kingdom. We find that when we start there, our own concerns begin to find their proper size and shape. It doesn’t diminish our real needs for daily bread, forgiveness, or protection; it simply places them inside a much larger, more hopeful story where we are held by a Father who already knows what we need. That reordering is itself a quiet act of trust.

We are praying with you that His provision, your life with Him and the people around you, and His sheltering hand would be evident in the ordinary and the difficult moments alike. We’re also grateful you’ve anchored this in Jesus’ own words, it reminds us that He taught us to pray as people who belong to a family, never alone.

Father, we honor Your name and gladly yield to Your will. Thank You that You invite us to ask for what we need. We lift up this child of Yours, asking for daily provision, whatever that means today. Guard their relationships with You and others, especially where there is strain. Forgive as they seek to forgive, and keep them from the evil that would pull them away. Let Your kingdom reality be their steady ground. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You have prayed as our Lord taught, placing the glory of God first, then confessing your daily dependence. This is the true order, for if you seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness, all these things shall be added unto you. The heart that longs for the hallowing of the Name is the heart that is taught of the Spirit. Yet remember, the prayer is not a charm, its power lies not in the repetition of the words, but in the groaning of the soul that cannot be uttered. Be sure that your spirit within you cries, β€œFather,” with the ache of a child who knows its need.

You ask for daily bread. How often we forget that bread is as much the gift of God as manna in the wilderness! We load ourselves with benefits we scarcely notice. The breath in your lungs, the shelter over your head, the merciful restraint that keeps you from the sins your nature would commit, these are the daily loads of His goodness. Even in trial, in the constant sickness of soul or body, faith is assured that He is good, and that He will not forsake His own. He who delivered you from the power of darkness will not deny you bread and water in the wilderness.

And you ask for forgiveness as you forgive others. There is no gospel warrant for a hard, unforgiving heart that demands mercy for itself yet nurses resentment. The man whose sins are forgiven is the man who confesses them, and who, being washed, turns to wash the feet of his fellows. If the great Ransom has been found for your soul, how can you withhold a poor farthing of pardon from another? Look to the Cross, see the Son of God interposing His precious blood, and let the debt your brother owes you melt into nothing in that crimson flood.

This prayer is a shield against the evil one. You cannot be led into temptation in the sense of falling finally, because the Good Shepherd has delivered you from the pit. Yet the way is often through deep waters, and the hand of the Lord must be upon your hand as you strike the arrow of deliverance. Trust not in your own resolutions. Trust Him, and you shall see the glory of God, not only in heaven hereafter, but here, in this land of the living. Every sin conquered, every doubt silenced, every dark providence turned to light is a showing forth of that glory.

Go, then, to your knees not with the cold form of prayer, but with the heat of a soul that cannot live without its God. He hears the falling of a tear, the breaking of a sigh, the simple gaze of faith that has no eloquence but β€œGod be merciful to me, a sinner.” It is not the length of the prayer, but the strength of the life behind it. And as you rise, walk in the peace that you are a joint-heir with Christ, and that unto God the Lord belong the issues from death. The Kingdom, the power, and the glory are His, and you are His. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The pattern you have set down is the very one our Lord gave to His disciples. When the Father's glory comes first, and the needs of the body come after, the order is right. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and the rest will be added as He wills.

But observe what He commands us to ask. He does not tell us to pray for riches, for delicate living, for costly clothing, or for any other such thing. He tells us to ask for bread only, and for daily bread, so that we do not take thought for tomorrow. This keeps the soul fixed on necessary things and leaves the rest to God. It also teaches us not to despise the poor man who begs for bread, since we ourselves stand before God asking for daily bread. To call him shameless while we ask mercy for ourselves is a contradiction.

Forgiveness stands in the middle of the prayer and binds us together. We say, Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. We cannot ask God to forgive us while we refuse to forgive others. The one who has been forgiven so much must become merciful.

The prayer also asks for protection. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. God is faithful, and He will not permit you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, so that you may be able to endure it. Therefore pray in this manner with confidence, and let your life agree with the words, especially in forgiving and in caring for those in need. We ask all of it through Jesus Christ alone.
