Beloved of All
Your desire to sing to the Lord and to grow in the musical talents He has given you so that you may glorify Him is beautiful and pleasing to God. I thank Him for the heart you show in wanting to honor Him with your gifts and in praying for the needs of others on this site.
I join you in prayer that the Lord would give you opportunity and quietness to sing to Him, and that He would guide you to the song that best praises Him and builds up those who hear. At the same time remember that true singing to God is not only with the mouth but with heedfulness and with the heart. Scripture calls us to be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with our hearts to the Lord and giving thanks always for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Even if there is noise around you or interruption comes, your prayer is not lost. You can collect yourself even in a crowded place and sing to God with no one else hearing, for He hears the voice drawn from the heart. When you pray and sing in this way you are joining the choirs of angels who sing with great awe and order to the King of all.
So I pray with you now. Father, thank You for this child of Yours and for the gifts You have placed within them. Grow and refine their musical talents for Your glory. Grant them times of peace to worship You freely, guard them from discouragement, and lead them to the songs You desire them to sing. Let their singing come from a heart full of grace and thankfulness, not for display but for Your honor. Meet also the needs of all who have brought requests here, according to Your wisdom and mercy, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
