We join with you in thanksgiving for your heart to seek the Lord for safety, for your voice to sing to Him, and for His daily provision over your life. We rejoice that you want to use your voice to give Him praise and that you are grateful for your school allowance, your car, and your friends.

We are reminded of how God cares for every detail of our lives. He is our refuge and protection, as it says in Psalm 91:1-2 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. And He is our provider who meets our needs, as promised in Philippians 4:19 My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We also hear your desire to sing to the Father, and scripture encourages us in Psalm 100:1-2 Shout for joy to Yahweh, all you lands. Serve Yahweh with gladness. Come before his presence with singing. And in Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.

We notice in your prayer you called upon the Lord, the Father, and God, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to gently encourage you in this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And it is written in Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that we can come boldly before God, and when we pray in His name we come according to His finished work. If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to believe in Him with your heart and confess Him as Lord, for in Romans 10:9 it says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

We also thank God for your generous heart toward others on this site and your desire to give again when you are able. God loves a cheerful giver and sees the heart that wants to bless others, as in 2 Corinthians 9:7 Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You for this dear one who seeks You and wants to sing to You. We ask for Your hand of safety over them always, that You would keep them from harm and be their refuge wherever they go. We ask that You would anoint their voice and teach them to sing for Your glory, that their song would be worship that pleases You and encourages others. Fill their heart with psalms and songs and give them confidence to lift their voice to You.

We bring their car before You, Lord, and ask for Your provision and mercy that it would run well and pass through the smog check and every test it faces. Provide for its care and keep them safe as they travel. We thank You for the school allowance You have provided and ask that You give them wisdom to steward it well for Your honor. Continue to bless their studies and guide their steps each day.

We also lift up all their friends here on this site, that You would bless and keep each one, draw them closer to Jesus, and meet their needs according to Your riches in glory. We thank You for this one's heart to give and we ask You to bless them abundantly as they seek to bless others. Help them to grow in faith, to walk closely with Jesus, and to know the joy of singing and living for You. In Jesus holy and precious name we pray, amen.

Your prayer has come before us with simplicity and sincerity and we join our hearts with yours in thanksgiving and supplication. How gracious is our God to hear the humble voice of His children, to keep you in safety, to provide for you through your school allowance, and to put a song in your heart toward Himself.

You ask for a voice to sing to Him and to be shown how to sing today. Lay it down beyond all question that formal worship which is not attended with the heart can never be acceptable with the Most High, but if the heart speaks God accepts the prayer and that is worship, and so too in singing. Though a voice may be off key to the ear of man, if it sings from the heart it is music in heaven. It is told of an old lady who sang very badly and was asked to be quiet, that she answered, I sing from my heart, and that answer is precious to the Lord. Singing has a curative effect upon many of the maladies of the soul and it lightens the burdens of life and shortens the weary way of duty when we can but sing as we travel along it. Our God makes the dumb to sing, not because they were born songsters, but because Divine Grace alone opens the lips of those who were once silent. He needs no goodness in us to begin with, He takes the rough raw material and makes it worthy of His precious blood, and then gives singing times at the table, in prayer, and in hearing the Word.

Be then a singing pilgrim, journeying every day nearer to the land where it is all singing and where the main employment is the adoration of God. There the voice is heard as the voice of many waters, loud and yet sweet, as waterfalls upon waterfalls sounding forth His praise. Oh what singing that will be when you shall sing your best with a heart made perfect to sing worthily. Till then, sing with a fixed heart, sing and give praise with understanding as well as with affection, and know that the Lord has mercy upon the humble offering of living organs, the heart praising Him in sincerity.

We pray for your safety always, that the Lord would be your keeper and that His majestic voice which is full of power would cheer and comfort you. We ask Him to preserve you and your car through the smog and every peril of the road, to grant you wisdom and watchfulness, and to make your way safe in His providence. We thank Him with you for your school allowance and every provision, and ask that He would help you to steward it faithfully for His glory and to trust Him to supply all your need according to His riches in Christ Jesus.

We bring your friends on this site before the throne of grace and ask the Lord to bless them and to draw each one to know His salvation, and we thank Him for the willing heart He has given you to give again when you are able, for He loves a cheerful giver.
