Family

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your family in earnest prayer. First and foremost, we rejoice that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Christ that we receive the gift of salvation, and we pray that every member of your family would come to know Him as Lord and Savior. If there are any who have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus, we ask that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts, draw them near, and reveal the truth of the Gospel to them. May they confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).

Father, we also lift up the healing of your family, both physically and spiritually. Your Word declares that by Jesus’ stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise over every sickness, disease, or infirmity that may be afflicting any member of your household. We ask for Your healing touch to restore strength, vitality, and wholeness. Heal broken hearts, mend wounded spirits, and bring reconciliation where there is division. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we also pray for Your divine protection over your family. The enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we declare that no weapon formed against your family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Surround them with Your angels, shield them from harm, and keep them safe from all evil. Protect them from the snares of the enemy, from temptation, and from the influences of this world that seek to draw them away from You.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair that may be trying to take root in your home. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that your family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no evil shall befall them. We stand in agreement with you, believing that the Lord will fulfill His promises and bring about His perfect will for your household.

In times of trial, may your family be a beacon of light and testimony to others, showing the world the power of God’s love and faithfulness. May they grow in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52). Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and fill them with hope for the future.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.

We’re grateful you reached out with this request, and we’re standing with you in prayer for your whole household. It’s clear these three needs, salvation, healing, and protection, are heavy on your heart, and we don’t take that lightly.

Sometimes when we carry a bundle of concerns for ourselves and those we love, it helps to anchor our prayers in something simple and regular. Perhaps you could set aside even five quiet minutes each day with your family (if they’re open) to name these needs aloud together, no eloquent words, just honest hearts. If some in your family don’t yet share your faith, your consistent, gentle prayers for them can be a quiet act of trust, not pressure. And if there’s a particular illness behind the healing request, we’d also encourage you to let a doctor walk alongside you, prayer and medical care aren’t rivals; they’re both gifts God can use.

On the practical side, you might contact a pastor or small group leader at your church and ask them to join you in focused prayer over the coming weeks. The knowledge that others are actively praying by name often brings a surprising steadiness during uncertain days.

Now, let’s bring these needs before the Lord together.

Father, we lift up this person and their family before You. We ask for Your saving grace to draw each one who doesn’t yet know You into a real, living relationship with Jesus. Where there is sickness, we pray for Your healing touch, body, mind, and spirit, and wisdom for any caregivers involved. We ask for Your protection over this home: guard them from harm, from despair, and from anything that would pull them apart. Give them courage to take small steps of faith each day, and surround them with people who will walk this road with them. We trust You to work, even when we can’t see it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You have asked for salvation, healing, and protection for yourself and your family in the name of Jesus. That is a good and Scriptural request, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. The way of salvation is to believe on Christ, whom God has laid in Zion for a foundation. What is believing on Him? It is trusting in Him. Leave the whole matter of your salvation with Him in unquestioning confidence. Depend upon Him without fear as to your present and eternal salvation. This is the faith which saves the soul.

It is not your own salvation in the sense that you must work for it; it is God’s salvation. He planned it in infinite wisdom. Here is salvation for the blackest of sinners, forgiveness for all manner of sin, so full of grace that only God could have conceived it. Glory be to God for such a rich salvation as this! Look unto Him and be ye saved. How simple, how instantaneous! A look requires not a moment. There is only one way for all: “Look! look! look!”

And as for healing, I would point you to the leaves of the tree of life which are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. These leaves change the lifeblood, affect the spirits, and make the nature other than it was before. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves, the little things about Him, are medicinal. Bring your wounds and sicknesses to Him; His touch still has its ancient power.

Protection is bound up in the same salvation. When the Lord is your light and your salvation, whom shall you fear? The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. Commit your soul and your household into His keeping, for His honor is engaged to save the meanest of His sheep.

I am glad you mention your family, for it is the will of God that households should be saved together. The jailer at Philippi believed in God with all his house. A renewed family becomes a rejoicing family. Pray on, dear soul, and do not neglect this great salvation for yourself or for those under your roof. Go and make it common, for it is the common salvation, offered without money and without price. By the bliss of a united family, I beseech you seek after it, that you may have that united family in heaven. Will your family be there? May it be so through faith in Christ Jesus, who Himself is our salvation.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer is good, invoking the name of Jesus for salvation, healing, and protection. But let us examine what this salvation truly requires, lest we think mere words are sufficient and so deceive ourselves. Do not suppose that hearing is enough for salvation. The seed that fell on the way was snatched away; that on the rock withered for lack of root; that among thorns was choked by cares and riches. One part is not enough. Careful hearing and continual recollection are needed, then fortitude, then contempt of riches, deliverance from all worldly things. If you pray for salvation, you must cultivate every virtue with great diligence. It will not do to be soft and unmanly, to be remiss while asking for protection. Salvation is worked out in the patient enduring of sufferings, and the hope laid up for you is steadfast only if you are a partaker of those sufferings. Do not put off laying hold of the gift. Now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation. Why do you delay? He came not to judge but to save, and His words are for your salvation, not condemnation. Yet if you treat this carelessly, adding to other sins an unlawful prayer or a divided heart, from where will hope come? Listen to the words of truth. Those who seek salvation must know that the many are not attracted by sublime speech alone, but by the graciousness and lovingkindness of God who takes away the sin of the world. But if, after hearing, you merely ask for healing and protection while clinging to the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches, you choke the word. For the whole world of vices, vainglory, pleasure, envy, all of it belongs to those thorns.

Your family you commend to God in this same prayer. This is right, but it demands more than a passing request. You must weep for them as for those who may not recognize the things that lead to salvation, for it is a mark of those who perish to mock at what is truly great. Love them not less than yourself, but draw them over to the common salvation with tears and tireless care. Do not merely say the words; let your life preach to them. If you seek protection, know that affliction itself, when God permits it, is for your comfort and salvation, working patient endurance. The sufferings of Christ abound in His people, but so also does the comfort. And remember, the Lord is at hand. The time is short. Salvation and destruction stand before you, and the difference is as great as between the two.
