Beloved of All
Your prayer for salvation, healing and protection for yourself and your family is precious, and it touches the very heart of what God desires to give.
The name Jesus itself means the Lord is salvation. He came to save His people from their sins, and Scripture teaches that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. To confess Him now, to submit to Him as Lord now, is unto salvation and eternal life. There will be a day when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord, but that confession then will not be unto salvation, it will be the acknowledgment of those who rejected Him. That is why the Bible says the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all, and now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. It is a great salvation because it is open to whosoever will come, it reaches even the lowest sinner, and there is no escape if we neglect it. It was first spoken by the Lord Himself, the captain of our salvation who through His suffering brings many sons into glory. And salvation is entirely of grace, outside our own ability. It is not of works lest anyone should boast. We are His workmanship, His poem, made beautiful by His grace through faith which He Himself provides. Having received that gift, we are then called to work out what God has worked within us, with reverence and trembling, not working for salvation but living out in daily obedience the life He has already given.
For healing, the Scriptures show that Christ's suffering was for more than the forgiveness of sins. Matthew applies Isaiah's prophecy to Jesus to include physical healing as well as spiritual, and when Jesus broke bread He said this is My body broken for you. God does heal, and every healing, whether instant or gradual, whether through a touch or a word or through the natural processes He created in our bodies, is from Him. At the same time we do not understand all His ways in healing, and to presume He wills healing in the same way in every case is not scriptural. Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh and the Lord did not remove it. What remains certain is that your greatest miracle, and your family's greatest need, is salvation, the forgiveness of sins, and that is more important than any physical healing.
God also understands the burden you carry for your family. There is a bond in the family of God that is deep and close, and when those in our own households do not yet believe, that difference can feel painful. Yet the Lord hears your intercession and He is faithful to draw those you love and to keep those who trust Him.
May the Lord grant salvation to each member of your household as they confess Jesus as Lord and believe in His resurrection, may He touch bodies and minds with His healing according to His wise and loving will, and may He cover you all with His protection as you walk in His grace. May you know His presence and power as He builds your lives into a dwelling place for Himself, and may His love prevail in your home.
