Beloved of All
I’m ###. Long story, but my mum ###, has a bunch of online jobs, and 1 job (###) unexpectedly gave her a bunch of bookings with ESL students. Worry about getting other things done, she usually asks for too much; not everything gets done, and this job will make it worse, as she needs my help with that job. She makes me get up with her and help her and will go without sleep for quite a while. Hope I don’t get my period for a while, as she can’t stand me when I am a mental mess, and seems to be overly obsessed with smell, her hair, her weight, and other things. What makes it worse is that my dad ### is getting surgery soon, and my mum wants a lot done, and hopes that no job interferes with my dad’s surgery. Hope he survives it. Help me go through what I must deal with for the next while and hope that no job interferes with my dad’s surgery. My mum has severe mental health issues! Heal her!

We hear your heart’s cry, dear one, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with deep compassion. The weight you carry is heavy—balancing your mother’s demands, your father’s health, and your own well-being is no small task. We stand with you in prayer, asking the Lord to sustain you, give you wisdom, and bring healing to your family.

First, we must address the foundation of our plea. There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach God except through Jesus Christ. He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so, for He is the only source of true peace, strength, and salvation. The Bible tells us, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). Without Him, our prayers cannot reach the Father.

Now, let us pray for your family and your situation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious one and her family. Lord, You see the burdens she carries—the exhaustion, the emotional strain, and the weight of her mother’s struggles. We ask that You would be her strength when she is weak, her peace when she is overwhelmed, and her refuge when she feels alone. Give her the grace to endure this season with patience and wisdom, knowing that You are her ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Father, we pray for her mother. You know the depths of her mental and emotional struggles, and we ask that You would bring healing to her mind and heart. Soften her heart to receive help, whether through counseling, medical care, or the support of godly community. Break the chains of perfectionism, obsession, and anxiety that bind her, and replace them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help her to see her worth not in productivity or appearance, but in Your unconditional love for her.

Lord, we lift up her father as he prepares for surgery. We ask for Your healing hand to be upon him, guiding the hands of the surgeons and giving him strength and comfort. Surround him with Your peace, and let him feel Your presence in this time of uncertainty. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust You for a successful outcome.

Father, we also ask for wisdom and boundaries in this family. Help this dear one to honor her mother while also caring for her own well-being. Teach her to say no when necessary, not out of rebellion, but out of a desire to steward her health and energy wisely. Give her the courage to communicate her limits with love and grace, trusting that You will provide for her mother’s needs in other ways. Remind her that even Jesus withdrew to quiet places to pray and rest (Luke 5:16), and that she, too, must prioritize her physical and emotional health.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of control and anxiety that seeks to dominate this home. We declare that Your perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we ask that You would replace every lie with Your truth. Help this family to lean on You, not on their own understanding, and to trust You with every detail of their lives (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Finally, Father, we ask that You would draw this family closer to You and to one another. Let this season of trial refine them, not break them. Fill their home with Your presence, Your peace, and Your joy, even in the midst of difficulty. And may they come to know You more deeply as their Provider, Healer, and Savior.

We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

Beloved, we want to encourage you with the truth that you are not alone. The Lord sees your struggles, and He is with you in every moment. Even when it feels like no one understands, He does. He invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). You are not responsible for fixing your mother’s issues or carrying the weight of her expectations. Your role is to love her, honor her as your parent, and trust God to work in her heart and life.

Consider setting gentle but firm boundaries. For example, you might say, "Mom, I love you and want to help, but I need to get enough rest so I can be at my best for you and Dad. Let’s find a way to manage this together without me staying up all night." Pray for wisdom in how to communicate this, and trust that God will give you the words (Luke 12:12).

We also encourage you to seek support from your church or a trusted Christian counselor. You do not have to walk this path alone. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." Let others come alongside you and help carry this burden.

Lastly, hold fast to the hope we have in Christ. This season is temporary, and God is using it to shape you into the person He has called you to be. Romans 8:28 assures us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that He is working even in the midst of the chaos, and that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

We're here with you, sister. It's tough when you feel pulled in so many directions, but remember, God sees you and He's got you. We're praying for strength, wisdom, and peace for you, your mom, and your dad as he prepares for surgery. We're also asking God to help you find balance and set boundaries, so you can care for yourself while still supporting your mom. Trust that God will provide and guide each step of the way. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and know that you're not alone. We're praying in Jesus' name.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand alongside you in prayer during this challenging season. Our hearts have been heavy as we’ve lifted up your family—your mum’s overwhelming workload and mental health struggles, your dad’s upcoming surgery, and the pressure you’re feeling to support them both while managing your own needs.

We continue to pray for wisdom and peace for your mum as she navigates her responsibilities, that she would find balance and rest in the Lord’s strength rather than her own. We ask God to grant her clarity in prioritizing her tasks and to surround her with His comfort as she faces these pressures. For your dad, we pray for a successful surgery and a smooth recovery, trusting in God’s healing hand over his life. And for you, we ask the Lord to give you patience, endurance, and moments of grace as you walk through this time. May He shield your heart from anxiety and fill you with His peace, especially during the days when emotions feel overwhelming.

If God has moved in any of these areas—whether through answered prayers, moments of unexpected peace, or provision—we would love to hear about it so we can rejoice with you. If the burdens still feel heavy, please know we are here to keep praying. You are not alone in this. Let us continue to lift your family up, believing that God is working even when we can’t see it. May His presence be your comfort and His grace your strength as you seek Him through Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name.
