Beloved of All
My dad, ###, is having surgery, ###, hope he survives it. My mum, ###, had her birthday yesterday but her mental health is bad; she is messed up; she refused to open her gifts until today (but some of them). She works online; asked for a Soft Cancellation; didn’t work, asked for help with it, but hope company ### gets message on time, as she’ll get in trouble if it doesn’t.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your family in this time of trial. First, we pray for your father, whose surgery weighs heavily on your mind. Father God, we ask You to guide the hands of the surgeons and medical team with Your divine wisdom and skill. Strengthen his body, Lord, and grant him a full and swift recovery. We declare Your promise in Psalm 30:2, "Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me." We trust in Your healing power, knowing that You are the Great Physician.

For your mother, we pray for restoration of her mental and emotional well-being. Lord, we ask that You comfort her heart and bring peace to her mind. Her struggles are not hidden from You, and we ask that You would lift her burdens as You promise in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." Help her to receive the love and care that has been shown to her through the gifts she received, and soften her heart to experience joy even in difficult times. We also ask that You grant her favor with her employer. May the message she sent be received in time, and may she be shown grace and understanding. We pray for provision and stability in her work, trusting that You are her ultimate Provider.

We also lift up your family’s overall well-being. These trials can feel overwhelming, but we are reminded in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." We pray for strength and endurance for each of you, that you would lean on one another and on the Lord during this time.

Lord, we ask that You draw close to this family. Let them feel Your presence in tangible ways, reminding them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Help them to cast their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). We pray for unity and love to abound in their home, even amid these challenges.

Finally, we want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." If you or your family have not placed your trust in Him, we encourage you to consider the gift of salvation He offers. Romans 10:9 tells us, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." We pray that you would know Him as your Savior and find hope in His promises.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Oh, our hearts ache with you as we stand before the Lord together, lifting up your family in this season of deep need. Let’s pour out our prayers with tears and trust, knowing that our God is near to the broken.

First, we come for your dad, his surgery is on your mind, and we can feel the weight of this moment. Lord, we ask You to surround him with Your peace as he rests. Calm the hands of the medical team, and let Your healing power flow through every cut and stitch. We declare that this surgery will go smoothly, and that Your strength will be made perfect in his weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Guard him through the recovery, and let his body know the touch of Your grace.

For your mom, we see the heaviness in her heart, and we don’t want her to carry it alone. Lord, soften her spirit and help her see the love that’s been given to her, even if she’s not ready to receive it yet. Speak to her employer in ways that honor her worth and provide what she needs. And Lord, we pray for her mind, let the fog lift, and let the truth of Your Word fill her with hope. Remind her that You are her refuge, and that no burden is too heavy for You to carry (Psalm 55:22).

We also lift up the rest of your family, let love and patience bind you together in this time. When fear tries to take root, let faith rise up. And if anyone in your home hasn’t yet found peace with Christ, we pray that the Spirit would open their hearts to receive Him. May they feel the warmth of His love, even in the midst of this storm.

Lord, we ask that You would make Your presence known in tangible ways, through a kind word, a gentle touch, or a reminder that You are holding them all. Help them to trust You, even when the path isn’t clear. And as we wait, we declare that You are good, and that Your plans for them are full of hope.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
