Family and Health Situations

Beloved of All
My dad ###’s surgery day is June 2nd. Hope he survives it and hope not to get it infected. It’s too soon, as getting the house clean enough is hard; worried about using my legs too much as need new medical scooter (not going to get now; but was hoping to get one before); my mum ###’s birthday is May 31st, she has bad mental health issues, worried about my life being a worse nightmare as she makes things hard (hope I still have roof over head after this); My dad will be in the hospital for a while; he can’t do anything for a while; worry about her being loopy at night; etc.; hope he doesn’t cancel surgery, despite issues. My mum too many online jobs, 1 new job, ###, hope not last, as she’ll like to keep me home from church on Sunday, as she has issues with apps and things. Saturday, going to church then instead; hope doesn’t rain between 16:00 - 19:45. Hope students ### and ### cancel their online classes, Saturday. Hope to buy online without parents interfering.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your family’s burdens to Him in prayer. Your father’s upcoming surgery is a great concern, and we join you in asking for the Lord’s mercy and healing. Father, we pray that You would guide the hands of the surgeons and medical team, granting them wisdom and skill. Protect Your servant from infection and complications, and bring him through this procedure safely. We declare Your promise in Psalm 30:2-3: "Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me. Lord, you brought me up from the grave; you spared me from going down to the pit." May Your healing power be upon him, and may his recovery be swift and complete.

We also lift up your mother, Lord, asking for Your peace to guard her heart and mind. Her struggles with mental health are heavy, and we pray that You would surround her with Your comfort and strength. Help her to find rest in You, even in the midst of anxiety and uncertainty. We pray that her birthday would be a day of joy, not stress, and that You would soften her heart toward those who love her. Father, we ask that You would protect your home from strife and discord, and that You would provide stability in this season of upheaval. We stand on Your word in Philippians 4:6-7: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Your concerns about your own health and mobility are valid, and we pray for provision in this area. Lord, You see the weariness in your body, and we ask that You would sustain you. Provide the resources you need in Your perfect timing, and give you strength to endure until then. We declare Isaiah 40:31 over you: "But those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."

We must address the tension between your desire to attend church and your mother’s wishes. Attending worship is not merely a preference, it is a commandment and a lifeline. Hebrews 10:25 warns us, "Not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, even if it means going on a different day. Pray for wisdom in how to honor your mother while still obeying God’s call to gather with believers. If she seeks to keep you from worship, we must gently but firmly remind her that our first allegiance is to Christ.

We also rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to paralyze you. 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." The enemy would love to keep you in a place of worry, but we stand against that lie. Trust in the Lord’s provision for your home, your health, and your family’s needs. He is your refuge, and He will not abandon you.

Lord, we also lift up your father’s recovery period. It will be a difficult time for your family, but we pray that You would use this season to draw you all closer to You and to one another. Give your mother grace to manage her responsibilities without becoming overwhelmed, and help her to see the value in allowing others to support her. We pray against any confusion or instability in her mind, especially at night, and ask that You would bring her clarity and peace.

We pray for your online purchases and interactions, asking that You would grant wisdom and protection. May the Lord shield you from interference and frustration, and may He provide what you need in ways that honor Him. We also pray for your students, that their schedules would align in a way that allows you to attend church without conflict.

Above all, we must emphasize that our prayers are offered in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 declares, "Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’" If you have not placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation." Salvation is a free gift, and it is the foundation of all true peace and hope.

Father, we commit this entire situation into Your hands. Strengthen this family, provide for their needs, and draw them closer to You. May Your will be done in every detail, and may Your name be glorified. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

We’re praying for you and your family right now, and we’re lifting up your dad’s surgery with such heavy hearts. Lord, we ask for Your perfect protection over him, keep him safe from infection, guide every medical team member, and give him strength to heal quickly. We’re trusting You for a miracle, but even if it’s a long road, we ask for Your peace to settle over his heart and family as they wait.

For your mom, we’re praying for such a deep sense of Your comfort. There’s so much she’s carrying, her own struggles, the weight of your dad’s surgery, and the stress of so many responsibilities. Lord, help her to find rest in You, even when the world feels chaotic. We’re asking for clarity for her mind, especially at night, and for Your peace to guard her heart. And we’re praying that she would open her heart to the love and help that’s available to her.

We also see the weariness in you, your own health, the need for that medical scooter, and the pressure of balancing everything. Lord, give you strength to endure, and provide exactly what you need, when you need it. We’re praying for provision, patience, and a reminder that You are with you in every step.

And Lord, we’re praying for wisdom in how to honor your mom while also honoring Your call for you to gather with the body of Christ. We know church isn’t just a preference, it’s nourishment for the soul. Help you to navigate this with grace, and may Your peace guide your steps.

We’re also praying for the small things, the online purchases, the students’ schedules, and the peace to keep your home from becoming overwhelmed. Lord, we’re trusting You to work all of this together for good.

Above all, we’re praying that your family would draw closer to You in this season. Help you all to lean on each other and on Him, and may Your love be the foundation that holds you steady.

In Jesus’ name, we ask all of this, and we’re praying that His will would be done. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are so grateful you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand beside you in prayer during this incredibly challenging season. Our hearts have been heavy as we lifted up your dad’s surgery—may God’s healing hand rest upon him, guiding the surgeons and protecting him from infection. We continue to pray for strength for you as you manage the demands of caring for your home and your own health needs, asking the Lord to provide the support and resources you need, including the scooter you hoped for.

We’ve also been praying for your mum, that the Lord would bring peace to her mind and comfort to her heart. May He give you wisdom as you navigate this difficult dynamic, and may He shield your home and your faith from the storms around you. We ask that God would soften her heart regarding your time at church, and that He would make a way for you to worship freely, even if it means adjusting your plans.

We’re praying against any last-minute cancellations or disruptions—may your dad’s surgery proceed as scheduled, and may the Lord quiet any chaos that threatens to arise on Saturday. We ask Him to intervene with your mum’s work schedule and the students’ online classes, creating space for you to move forward with your own needs, including your online purchases. Most of all, we pray for God’s presence to surround you, giving you strength, hope, and assurance that He sees every detail and is working all things for your good.

If any of these prayers have been answered, we would love to rejoice with you—please share a praise report so we can give thanks together. If some burdens still weigh heavily, we invite you to post again so we can continue lifting you up. May the Lord bless you abundantly, draw near to you in your struggles, and remind you of His faithfulness. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
